Food is tasteless Got a relleno, enchilada, and rice and beans Food came out extremely fast, which one would believe is a plus, except it's making me think they don't make their food to order; Relleno was mushy and soft, leads me to believe they batch make them and serve on demand. Salsa, the staple of any Mexican restaurant, was also tasteless, and honestly could do with a bit more salt. Also asked for a spicier salsa and was brought a pure liquid with no texture and wasn't much more spicy and as far as I can tell they use as their base for the standard. If you aren't making your own salsa then please just go on Google and try a few different recipes, it is not difficult to get a good recipe going, you can throw it together in a blender and batch make it in the morning if you're really that lazy(no one is expecting made to order salsa) and it will honestly be better than what you're running now; lime, fire roasted tomatoes, jalapeno, poblano, onion, garlic, cilantro, and salt. Habanero to add spice if you're inclined. Rice was good, don't change that. Enchilada and whatever sauce was on it was ok, nothing to write home about, but same deal needs flavor.

I do not understand how this place has a 4.3 rating. My comments:
table was greasy, kitchen (which was visible as we walked by) was dirty. the chips tasted like soap! I assume that the container wasn’t adequately rinsed? Did someone spill soap into the fryer? ordered a glass of white wine. It was served warm in a soft drink glass. food arrived, by then my appetite was gone. Had taco and enchilada, both were mediocre.
Again, I don’t understand how this place has a 4.3 rating. Perhaps it was a bad night, but I would not...
Read moreBeing from Texas, I have to add the context that there is probably not any good Mexican food in the middle of Tennessee. Having said that, this place did not hit high marks for me. Chips and salsa are a staple for me with Mexican. The chips were actually great - the salsa was from a jar. The tortillas were store bough as well which for me is a big negative. I ordered the grilled chicken salad and it was just iceberg lettuce with chicken and melted cheese. The chicken itself was good but not much of a salad. The salad dressing was in a packet which is a big turn-off as well. The interior is very festive and the service was great so that brought me up...
