Chicken Palace — Restaurant in Middlesex

05/2018 I tried to give them another chance because It is close to my job and they deliver. The worse mistake I’ve made in a while. I called them up today to place three separate orders for myself and two other coworkers. When I inform them that I had to pay each order by separate credit cards they told me they could not do that. I have informed them that we have ordered from them in the past and breaking up payment by credit card or cash has been excepted before ( of course they make a stick about it but except it) Then the woman on the phone tells me that she can’t take my order because it does not meet their minimum of $15. I asked her how much each order was and she didn’t know. It turns out that two out of the three orders were $17 each and the third order was $11. She would not make an exception and wanted to cancel that order So I combined the $11 order with one of the $17 orders and then just to pay the other $17 order separately. She huffed and puffed but agreed. When I gave her one of the credit card information she replied with telling me that there were insufficient funds. Now I know we all got paid today so I was pretty sure my coworker had plenty to cover her order I know I did. I asked her to please run the card again and read her the information VERY slowly. And as I expected it cleared with no problem. When she went to run the second card (my card) she told me again that there were insufficient funds on that card. I asked her to please run the card again and she refused. She started to complain about the other customers orders that she was missing because she was on the phone with me for so long. I explained to her that I too am a customer and it is not my fault that she did not run the first card properly that’s why it went through the second time that she ran it if she could please run the second card again. She continued to refuse to run my card and then informed me that she was canceling my orders completely. I told her that she had already charged me for an order on the previous credit card we had issues with that she had originally ran in correctly through her machine. She tells me that she is going to refund me back the money. When I asked to speak to the manager she informed me that she was the manager she is actually the owners daughter. When I asked to speak to the owner she stated that he wasn’t available and that I could call back later on. I sure did try to call back later on and he sure enough it was not available. I will be calling to speak with him to let him know what a horrible service his daughter and the rest of his staff provide.

03/2018 I called to place an order & the woman on the phone told me my order was too small, I explained to her I had placed the exact same order the day before. Went there for the first time after work to pick up a quick dish (I love lomo saltado) and to buy extra sauce as my family was making chicken at home. My total was $23.54. The three ladies working there that were sitting at a table when I walked in were less than thrilled to realize I was non-Spanish speaking. Luckily one of the young women spoke great English so it was fairly easy to order. I made it very clear I wanted extra sauces because that was one of the main purposes of stopping by. When my food was almost done I asked to pay and after a minute or so one lady stood up and swiped my card handing me my receipt with no pen and sat back down to talk with her co-workers. I looked around for a pen and could not find one so I even walked behind the counter to look as they chatted away. I finally walked up to the woman who were maybe 5 feet away watching me while still chatting and asked for a pen so I could leave a tip for my take-out. She gratefully handed me a pen and I wrote in a $3 tip, the total was now $26.54. I found it odd that she did not give me a copy of the receipt so I took a picture as I always keep restaurant receipts until they clear my account. As I grabbed my food I asked if there were extra sauces and the woman stated "mas sauces!!!" and I smiled and left.

The food was average as I've definitely had better lomo saltado. The "mas sauces" was ONE 2oz tiny container, when I asked for a minimum of 3. Not a huge deal but very irritating none the less. 3 days later I check my account and what do you know, they added an additional tip to my card! Even though it was only $2 more it was enough for me to want to write this post. I can't speak for the entire business but someone there is a thief and I would not recommend you going there unless you pay with cash and order items directly off the menu so you can see the price. Just imagine if they do this to people everyday! I will NOT...

I was sitting there for 10 minutes no one ever came over to me then this people came over they sat down and in the matter of 30 seconds someone was taking care of them, after she finished taking their order I thought she was going to take care of me, instead she walked by me but never look at me, I had to call her then she took my order but with a attitude not too pleasant, not enough once i finished , never got anything picked up from my table and never got the check so I had to walk to the register and pay there. I've been coming to this restaurant for about 6 years and I always liked it I have family coming over also and they have complained to me about this place because of their waitress being rude or not too friendly, and I never experienced that until now. I didn't come here for couple months and now that I came over couple things changed including the food it used to be really good now is just alright.

so came back to their new place, hoping to have a good meal. however i got there once again service awful, like you talk to them and they keep walking leaving you with a wonder of "did they get that" anyways we already know that service is badddddd, i went today, i was craving peruvian food, and this place was ok for it, but, nahhh now def i'm not coming back to this place is has become worst now the food is lacking of flavor and meat, i order a chaufa mixto and there was only 1oz of beef and chicken combine!!! unbelievable! in other words it was 95% rice and 5% meat and it tasted bad. so now i will tell everyone to stay away from this place. it sucks big time now not just on service but on food too. awful really awful!!!!!!
