Made a takeout order (3regular rolls) on a Friday evening. They said it'd be ready it 20 minutes, and food was made on time! They are the most responsible in their COVID response with: -Wooden door + plexiglass, and a bell you must ring when you arrive. -sliding drawer for food -pens separated by "sanitized" and "used" -and a make shift opening for credit card/cash payments. Only issue: the rolls were just a bit smaller than what I was used to at Izu in Long Branch. And they charge .50 for spicy mayo sauce on the side. (Free at Izu). But food was fresh, and on time. And they had the best COVID prevention plan in place.

I love sushi so when I get to try a new place I always jump on it. I ordered the three roll lunch special wrapped in soy paper. The salmon was good. No problems. The shrimp tempura roll in my opinion was wrapped a little too loosely. It was hard to eat with chopsticks, but the snow crab roll was phenomenal. Finally a place that has a crab roll that wasn't imitation. The only thing I hope is that they open to sit down dining and not just take out.

I don't know how the food or services are. I drove all the way here to this sushi place after a hike at Sandy Hook on Mother's Day. We found that this place was closed on Sundays from 12 pm - 3 pm. We were disappointed. Isn't it strange to close on Mother's Day? Isn't it strange to close during lunch hours?

Went here for sushi and hibachi. Asked for tuna shashimi and the fish they gave us definitely was not tuna. We tried a piece each and it was the most disgusting fish, and told the waitress politely that we could not finish it. The waitress told us this would be taken off our menu. The manager then opproached our table telling us this tuna is the finest tuna and in stores it's 10$ for a pound which is nothing for tuna so I don't really think she knew what she was talking about seeing as 'good' tuna is a lot more money by the pound. She asked again if we wanted the tuna and we told her no thank you, and walked away with an attitude and clearly talking about us to the men working the sushi bar. We got our check and the tuna wasn't taken off so when we told the waitress she seemed confused, she went to go talk to the manager, and then came back and said because we ordered it we have to pay for it. Hibachi was decent, nothing special. Wait staff hardly checked on our table even tho there was 5 people eating in the restaurant. I wouldn't recommend this place: 1 because who knows what the hell theyre serving & I don't even think they know... 2 the way the manager treated us was horrible....

I think owner got the message and the problem employee has been removed or at least has significantly mproved service. I have been a regular customer since 2008. Unfortunately, because of service since remodel we stopped going here - not even take out. The waitress who was always there (both takeout and dine in) was extremely rude. No service at all, basically made us feel like we were bother them for coming in to eat - felt unwelcome. Genuine Service is everything !

After months decided to give it one last try and was pleased to fine accommodating service and nice greeting when walked in! The woman working tonight was very nice and food great as always. Will be back.

I see lots of service complaints here, maybe they got the message. Give them...
