Copy of the Review for Impellizzeriâs Pizza Middletown 805 Blankenbaker Pkwy #105 Louisville, KY 40243 06/11/24
Tonight 23 residents from Swan Pointeâs HOA came to eat at Impellizzeriâs Pizza on Blankenbaker Pkwy. Our server tonight was Morrigan P. She first would get about 6 peopleâs order at a time then bring them back and go to the next table. She didnât write them down and I was really impressed. Then she started taking dinner orders. Impellizzeriâs has a great variety of items to choose from. Itâs funny but out of 23 people, there wasnât any duplications of pizza types. Tonight I took pictures of each pizza and a Kidâs Spaghetti, an order of Meatballs, Spaghetti and Meatballs, a Ceasar Salad, a Side Salad, and an Antipasta Salad. Iâll type the name of the item beneath the picture. We really had a great time. The great thing about us going out to eat is that we usually end up sitting by different people each week and we talk and learn new things every time. Itâs a wonderful way to get to know your neighbors! My husband and I really enjoyed our 12â Chicken Bacon and Ranch Pizza. We left with 1/2 of our pizza to enjoy tomorrow for our lunch. Our friends sitting on all sides of us really enjoyed their meals. Benny Impellizzeri was there tonight helping out. In fact every time my husband and I have been here, Benny has been there working. Impellizzeriâs was established in 1979. They have won many awards for their pizzas. I took the following statement off their website. âWe offer delicious pizza with a full menu of Italian inspired dishes with only the finest and freshest ingredients. â 5 âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ for the restaurantâs Anbiance, it is perfect for family and friends. 5 âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ for the Food. The food was delicious and the wonderful smell of Italian dishes filled the air. 5 âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ for our Server, Morrigan. She did a great job with the beverages, taking orders, bringing out the pizzas, and dishes. Everyone got the correct food, the correct bills and Pizza Boxes for their leftovers. My back was turned to the area where the rest of the staff was making the pizzas and baking them, but they did an awesome job getting everything out to us in a timely manner. We werenât the only large group in the restaurant. INFORMATION ON THE VARIETY OF THE MENU.

Read moreWifey wanted a gooey cheese pizza for dinner last night, so I made it happen. What a mistake that turned out to be. I ordered by phone and was told 30min. I showed up after 30min and had to wait another 25min on food. My wife called and wondered what was going on,her and the kids were hangry. I ordered a large cheese pizza that was luke warm at best when I got home, 3min drive. So she was very disappointed it was not hot and gooey. I also ordered a small sausage pizza for my daughter, she took a couple bites and said she didn't like it. I ordered bread sticks with extra butter that was made wrong, it didn't have any butter on the bread and gave me a cup of butter on the side that looked gross. I ordered spaghetti with the sauce on the side that they got wrong and put it on the spaghetti, my son likes it on the side. I ordered boneless hot wings but I got bone in. I looked at receipt and it said bone in wings, that's not what I said on phone. I don't care for their bone in wings but ate anyway or at least tried. I ate one and took a bite of the second wing and that was all I could take. My body refused to accept it and I went outside and threw it up, they were awful and went in the trash. I was going to call and complain but really don't like doing that. After sleeping on it, I felt like I should write a bad review. I wasted $75 on a meal that was not good and not sure if we will go back. The frozen pizza at Costco is way better, can't believe I said that because they used to have good food. I couldn't be more disgusted with dinner and family was not happy with a meal they were looking forward too and not to mention...

Leaving my original review below at 2 stars. I have been to this location twice since this incident including this past Sunday.
!!! UPDATED REVIEW 11/02/2022 !!!
This time around there was a lot more focus on greeting inbound customers, and advising on wait times and ensuring everyone was acknowledged.
My drink was on average half empty and I'd have another one at the table fresh and ready to go. The food was out fast and hot and mozzarella was as stretchy as ever.
The staff was a lot more present but not so much it was intrusive to the flow of eating and conversations with the people I was there with.
If this is a view of the way things will be here going forward then I am hopeful and excited this location and as it is the closest to most of my family we will be frequenting it more often.

I normally love Impellizzeris, however this location leaves a lot to be desired. Many times have I waited 15 minutes to be ignored before a host finally asks us "how many?"
Many times have I waited with an empty glass for a half hour looking for a refill.
Many times have the staffed walked past without any acknowledgement of my existence.
Am I a ghost? Is this real? Surely no restaurant that wishes to remain viable, especially in this atmosphere, would go through such great lengths to ignore their patrons.
Except this...
