Update as of today: Pretty regular customer of Maās and defended it after many critiques of the owner and unqualified allegationsā that said, very disappointed today after trying hard ā so hard to give them our business. But I must say, WONT DO IT AGAIN.
We tried three times to order 200$ worth of products - and each time online website failed. It also kept saying my email or pssqord was wrong. Then, when I tried without and to check out as a guest it didnāt work. So, after three attempts and two days of trying the app, website and back to the app, I drove to the drive thru. I ordered an a box of mixed donut holes - I pulled up and told them about the other order I needed for work ā 200$ worth. Both women were rude. One invited me , in a sour manner to come inside, insiting the problem was me and not the website. I parked, went inside and she grabbed my phone ā again insisting this was my fault. But wow- guess what- she herself, on her iPad, and on my iPhone could not process an order quickly. After minutes of watching the know it all fail to show me how computer I literate I was, I grabbed my phone and said, Iāll go to Dunkin Donuts. For the life of me I donāt know why the refused to take my order in person or by the phone but sadly, for themā and me - theyāve lost a customer. I did think their donuts were superior, and I almost wrote an entire piece on how superior their cinnamon buns are to all others on island but seriously, as sweet as their confections are the woman today totally pissed me off and I will not giver her a dime - never mind 200$ of our money to support a NAVY program. Dunkinā wins- unless another local place can offer an assorted sweet mix of treats and coffee to serve 50 , Wednesday morning at 5am. Really disappointed in this loss but sorry my dollars are valuable and I wonāt frequent where they arenāt appreciated nor am I. Itās a small town, I do all I can to support small businesses but this really made me pause. I donāt know what it will take to resume business with this location. Very disappointed.
Review 2023: We regularly order their donuts, pies and specialty breads and rolls! They make great host gifts and are perfect for cheering up offices we frequent ā especially around d holidays and birthdays!
My favorite item so far is the Cream Cheese Cinnamon muffin which has since inspired me to try all those around town and determine which my favoriteā Maās is so far #1!
Their Apple Cider Donuts are great too!!!
The chocolate pudding pie is a true treat and any chocolate lover will enjoy it!
Iām never disappointed in their donut holes and totally prefer them to Dunkin - not even in the same class.
Extra Bonus: Local ownership, drive thru, easy dining inside and an online order ahead menu makes it easy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMohammed has no customer service knowledge. Last time I had him he was just as bad. This time to see if it was a fluke or if he just thinks he is so special and customers don't matter. But again, he showed he thinks he is special and above everyone else. Even trying to give him 2 quarters when the price was 8.50 was an issue and he refused to take $3.50 to make it an even 15 back from my $20. When I didn't get 1\2 dozen donuts, I got a full dozen, but Mohammad tricked me into paying 8.50 on a gift card. I told him the 2nd ring up should have only been 7.50. Because he couldn't let me use my whole gift card which was for $10...which made absolutely no sense. How can you not allow gift cards to count toward the $16 total?! See what the AG says about that. He literally told me "you don't like it complain to owner" so I guess that the owner openly condones all this?
He should really stop using his gut\shirt to open the folded boxes too.
Sorry to the lady that I usually get, she's nice and actually talks to you, not tells you everything is wrong.
PS, I had a review with 5 stars prior to this experience... I really gave him benefit of doubt last time... Do unto others and I can guarantee karma catches us all in the end. Imo
Edit; holy cow... I read other 1 star reviews, Mohammed is obviously a terrible employee. Multiple people specifically say he "throws boxes" , "rushes customers and makes them feel beneath him" ect... This guy is a liability for a lawsuit at this point. Displaying aggression like that to female customers?!
Edit 2; guess Alex indeed condones his workers poor attitudes. I hope someone ends up getting this joke of a place closed, stuff like this only lasts so long before...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTough review but had to give an honest one. Let me tell you, weāve had Maās almost weekly for the last few years and itās consistent, but with flaws. For the bright side of this, Maās during the daytime is great. Donuts are usually fresh, service is decent, and other foods are cooked well. But, it is getting what seems to be more expensive. Now, they advertise as being open 24/7 but with caveats. If you go late, either they wonāt make certain things, which is odd but okay, or the donuts are stale. This is frustrating because they say theyāre always fresh and I can attest easily that thatās not true. Again, still a great donut place but my problem is always at night. Thereās a lady who weāve had a few times at night who honestly is pretty rude. She can be a bit rude over the microphone and give odd attitude. We pulled up and she didnāt greet us, instead she said that she would be with us in a few and clicked off. 10 minutes later, she beeped on. I asked for a Chai Tea Latte and she told me she couldnāt understand me a few times. After telling her again, she said, āwhat do you mean a latte? Do you want, like, espresso? Because a latte means that there is espressoā. In what universe is this true? What kind of ābaristaā or server, whatever you want to call it, doesnāt know what a chai tea latte is?!?! A couple little things to add to this but Iāll save the embarrassment. Either way, 7/10 would go during the day, 3/10 should finally...
