What a pleasant surprise! This Chinese restaurant in the heart of Newport checks all the boxes — and then some. First off, ample parking is a rare and welcome perk in this busy area, making our visit stress-free right from the start.
As for the food — absolutely delicious! Every dish we ordered was packed with flavor, served piping hot, and the portions were generous — perfect for sharing or taking some home for a second round. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, and the flavors were both comforting and bold in the best way possible.
But what really stood out was the incredibly quick and prompt service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient without ever making us feel rushed. We were seated immediately, orders were taken with a smile, and the food arrived faster than expected — without sacrificing quality.
Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Newport and craving satisfying, well-executed Chinese cuisine. It’s definitely one of those places you’ll want to come back to...
Read moreI’m not someone to write reviews, but this was a much needed one to share my experience. I ordered food from here on a Tuesday night. I ordered a small vegetable lo mein and small won ton soup. The total should have came out to $15.50 (looking at the website and paper menus in store). The worker said it would be ready in 15 minutes. About 20-25 minutes later, I show up and he checks me out saying it will be $20. I ask, and he rudely said yes it’s correct and rushed me without letting me ask questions. I waited another 5 minutes for my food. When he handed me the bag, he ripped off the receipt that was stapled on it so I couldn’t verify what I was rung up for. I asked again if it was lo mein and soup and he said yes.
I got home to eat it and the soup was ok, it had lots of vegetables floating in it. The lo mein had no taste. Sad to say, the customer service was terrible and the food was very overpriced. I won’t be...
Read moreHave eaten here many times since moving to the Island. I have liked everything BUT the eggrolls are not good..small hard and taste baked not fried...horrible tasting. Also, I ordered Sweet and Sour chicken....what a waste if money...$16 including delivery tip!! It didn't have the traditional red sweet and sour sauce but rather a beige colored sauce that was NOTHING like sweet and sour!! To add to that they literally put one, yes ONLY ONE pice of pineapple in it. Can you be that cheap??!! Sadly, yes. They would have been better off putting in no pineapple rather than one small piece. What a joke! I have eaten it elsewhere...many places and states for over 30 years and have never seen it tasted anything so pathetic. I'm used to red sweet and sour sauce, much pineapple, carrots, green peppers and onions. I am done as us my family after the one piece of pineapple and NOTHING else but chicken!!! Good...
