Scotty's Big Dawg's Pub — Restaurant in Middletown

This place needs a second go 'round. I'm torn because I only ordered the happy hour nachos and there was good and bad. The good: huge portion for an appetizer. Fair amount of toppings, can't complain there. However, the chips were common everyday welfare chips you get 3 bags for $5 at Costco, Sam's, or BJ's. Some people may like them, I just don't like round yellow corn chips. At $5 during happy hour, they still are a bargain for such a large serving and they didn't skimp on the meat. As far as service goes - I've had better, and I've had worse. I must say if it took a minute for service, the bartender apologized and genuinely tried to pay attention to everyone. I am going to go back soon to try something else on the menu which is a little different than the norm. Every bar menu seems to be the same these days but it appears they try to be a little different in the offerings with open-faced sandwiches, gourmet hot dogs, and a variety of sandwiches. Went last night (11/18/23) to Scotty's Big Dawg to grab a sandwich to go. Walked in and it was packed with people for a 70th Birthday party. Someone came up and said they were open still to the public. We took a seat at the front of bar. After a few minutes asked for menus. Maybe 10 min later drink order was taken. And that was it...Totally ignored. Waved one of the girls over after maybe 15 min and she yelled something about she couldn't and her register. We saw many people paying for their drinks. Finally snagged another girl behind the bar and asked how much hubby's beer was, paid for it and left. So disappointed in the service last night. We were there for approximately 30 minutes and completely ignored. I know they were busy with the party but is all we wanted was food to go. If they were too busy to make food they should have said so. I gave 4 stars for the food because it is good but...

little quiet tonight just the way I liked it, quality of people perfect, expectations met and boy if you can get there when the food comes out Mann Eye say it's as good as anywhere in the value can't be beat, I'm a fat guy that looks for values and good food with nice people and no trouble!
