Food Recommendations ==
Let me state that I tend to shy away from vegetables (yeah...I am one of those people) while my dates are usually more herbivores (I like to think they are the ones with normal taste buds).
Drinks #1. Iced Tea I am not a fan of tea but all of my dates have repeatedly gotten this drink. From their reactions, this is one of better teas they have tasted. I usually get water. (Rating: ?/10. Date seems to like it so it must be high)
Appetizers #1. Cream Cheese Wontons (Date and I get this) Cream cheese That is wrapped in some type of dough that is fried. Sweet sugar sauce is given on side. Its one of those foods that you know is unhealthy but it tastes way too good. They give you 6. (Rating: 9.5/10)
#2. Tom Yong-Goon Soup (Date and I get this) This is one of the healthier appetizers. I like to call it the spicy cilantro soup. It is by far hardest thing to describe. It tastes good though. (Rating: 10/10)
Main Course #1 Chicken Madness (I get this) Chicken, Rice, Basil, (Sometimes bell peppers) with amazing sauce. This meal is perfect for people who don't like vegetables. (Rating: 11/10...yup 11)
#2 Basil Friend Rice (Date and I get this) Fried Rice with choice of meat. This is my second favorite dish. This has vegetables in it (like I stated I usually shy away from vegetables) but the sauces used makes the vegetables worth eating. After eating trying this meal for the first time, I now eat onions. Vegetables include: bell peppers, onions, carrots. (Rating: 9.5/10)
#3 Won Ton Soup (Date gets this) I don't get this so I can't speak much about this; but my date gets this a lot. (Rating: ?/10. Date seems to like it so it must be high)
#4 Ginger Chicken (Date gets this) I have tried this and it is quite good. It is more of a creamy type of meal mixed with a couple of salty things for a good taste. (Rating: 8.5/10)
Desert To be honest, their desert is good but nothing to the quality of their main courses (I did not come for the desert...
Read moreMy favorite Thai restaurant, hands down. The drunken noodle is fantastic, it's made with black soy sauce. The hot basil fried rice is also fantastic, I usually opt for brown rice with it, gives a slightly nutty taste, which goes well with the thai basil. Pad thai is also really good, probably made with actual tamarind (not ketchup), so has a nice complex sweet/sour flavor. It's a nicer version of the usual ketchup based pad thai's a lot of restaurants serve, probably more authentic/original to old thai cooking than the modern ketchup based ones. Panang chicken is also delicious, although it sometimes varies in spice level. I love everything super spicy, but my wife, who usually loves panang, sometimes can eat it just fine, other times it's way too spicy for her. They also have dried chili flake they can add to anything as well, I usually add a bunch, because even when you ask for extra hot there, they usually don't make it all that spicy. This is probably the most "high-end" thai restaurant I've ever eaten at. I don't say "high-end" meaning atmosphere, I just mean all the dishes are very nicely prepared and all use very high quality ingredients, and it's clear the chefs know what they're doing and care about quality. This really is the best thai restaurant I've ever eaten at, and I order take-out from there regularly (I sit in less often, just due to...
Read moreMy sister and I decided to stop in after visiting a local winery and were pleasantly surprised that our spur of the moment choice turned out so well. We arrived at 5 pm to a very clean, well appointed restaurant with a bit more than half the tables taken. By 6pm not a table was free and there was a brisk take out business. This was truly the best Thai food we have ever experienced. We started with the chicken satay which was perfectly cooked- tender, flavorful with a peanut sauce that elevated the chicken. We also had the Siam rolls which were larger than what we have had in other restaurants which allowed you to taste the chicken and vegetables instead of just the crunchy wrapper. These were served with a light sweet sauce. For our entrees we got chicken Pad Thai (we opted not to have the shrimp and tofu that normally comes with the chicken and asked for veggies) and massaman curry. I feel a true test of a Thai restaurant is their Pad Thai and again it was the best we ever had-not dry- although it could have had a bit more chicken and veggies. The massaman curry was creamy and flavorful with very fresh tasting ingredients. The Thai ice tea was amazing too!! We were extremely pleased with our choices. This will become a regular stop when visiting the wineries. We cannot wait to try some...
