We have always had good service at Flint Audio and have spent at least $20K there in the past few years. We are good customers. Last week we went into the store and made a service appt for the following week for 9:30 a.m. We spoke with the owner about buying a new TV, afterwards, we were brought to the counter where the technician made the appt. We told him that we specifically wanted the first appointment of the day. They said it would be 9:30 a.m. and he assured me that someone would be there at the appointed time. To my regret, we received no paperwork confirming that because we trusted them to keep their word. Appt day comes, we have rearranged our schedules to be home and no Flint Audio. A call to them tells me that they are coming between 3-5 pm. That is not acceptable when we made the appt for 9:30 a.m. Do not talk with their technician GEORGE. He told me that the owner is away for a week and that HE is in charge and HE is the manager and I would have to deal with him. He was rude, condescending, arrogant and unyielding. He was unwilling to change someone's appt to help us today. It will be yet another 2 weeks before we can get someone here. He talked down to me, and hung up on me. That is unacceptable for ANY business. George should not be working with the public, he should be in the back stacking boxes. His people skills leave much to be desired. All the people who work at Flint Audio have been wonderful in the past. As a builder, I've had the privilege of working with Gary and his team of installers on many of the finer homes in the area. His team is always on time and extremely professional. This Christmas, bored with the normal shopping, I stuck my head into Flints to see if there were going to be any bargains after the holidays. A few minutes later I walked out of the store with a quote for a 55" Sony Bravia. I used the quote to compare Flint's prices on my smartphone with BestBuy. Flint was lower and their installation package superior. I immediately went back in signed up for the day after Christmas, "hook-up". A few minutes after getting back home to share the news with my girlfriend, Gary from Flint called and asked if they could come out and do the install later that afternoon, which was Christmas Eve. I am fed up with the big box stores and online retailers who seem to abandon you when problems arise. I found what I was looking for at Flint and bought a 55” Samsung 4K Smart TV. All my questions were answered, I could see the product on display before the purchase, they delivered it for free, set the TV up, and took all the packing material away. The only effort on my part was taking out my credit card and scanning it at the store counter! Great staff, competitive pricing, and friendly knowledgeable technicians. This is a family-owned business that has served the surrounding local communities for decades. One stop shopping with all the amenities. Flint is a retailer that gives you more for your money. When you call, they pick up the phone. No aggravating menus to navigate or long holding times listening to recycled music. When I visited their website, I was never asked if I was a robot.
