Terrible service and terrible customer support. Stay away from here, I wouldn't trust anything they say! We had them come out and give us an estimate to repair and refinish our hardwoods and we scheduled service. They repaired and replaced flooring and the sanding and finishing was next. They contacted us and asked us to move up the date of the finishing service so we coordinated to have all of our furniture moved out and stored...then they didn't show. After a lengthy delay they told me their guy wasn't available and I should look for someone else to do the job. Having made an initial payment I refused to search/schedule and told them it was their responsibility. They finally got someone out but, the initial finish they did was poor at best. After several attempts to get it right, the entire process had to be started over. I had concerns about the quality of work as the second round progressed and shared that with Island Carpet. They assured me they would do a final inspection before the finisher would be released. Well, they did not do that and the finisher packed up and left. The floors look terrible with many spots that stick out badly. Meanwhile I had been following the payment schedule. When I withheld the past payment they came to my house and saw the poor quality the finisher had provided. They said they would provide some material and to help repair the spots needing it as there was nothing they could do to get the finisher to come back out. I asked if they would provide some sort of a discount and the salesman said he couldn't 'put that burden on the company/owner'. I believed him about them trying to make good with repair of the poor workmanship and made the final payment. Foolish me - I haven't heard a thing from them since! Summary, I ended up where I had to put up having furniture out of the house and loss of use to my house for approximately 7-8 weeks and after all that the floors look terrible. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else especially if the owner can't be counted on to do what...

From start to finish, dealing with Island Carpet was an excellent experience! I told Ken what I was looking for and he showed me several samples. When I decided which one I wanted, he came by, measured and gave me a quote immediately which included everything. I was given an accurate idea of when to expect the work to be done and it was right on schedule. Casey, who installed the carpet was also great. I felt confidant that he knew what he was doing and he offered pointers on caring for the carpet. He pulled up the old carpet and lay the new carpet in one day and came back to add a strip between the 2 surfaces when he said he would. Maggie called us today to be sure we were satisfied and sent me a balance due bill. No pressure sales and no pressure to pay. We had a floor fitted last year but there was some cracking and chipping of the vinyl tile in some areas. When I raised my concerns,Ken immediately sent someone round to take a look. It became evident it had not been prepared properly the first time by the fitter so they decided it was best to replace the complete floor. I chose a different vinyl tile this time. I am so pleased with the customer service that we received and the new floor looks amazing. It’s sharp. Very professionally done and I have nothing but positive comments off any visitors.
