La Condesa — Restaurant in Midland

Food was ok but when it comes to Mexican food my taste is very picky. Ordered huevos rancheros, beans were pureed into liquid which had no substance but the flavor was good. The potatoes seemed to be boiled or steamed then grilled, very different for me but when it comes to potatoes its hard to go wrong. Flour tortillas are homemade which is a plus but they are made with to much lard, the tortillas get hard and flaky when they cool and I didn't get half way through my meal before this happened. They were delicious when served hot. Was almost ok satisfied with the Ranchero sauce, not enough sauce and it was bland. As I mentioned, I'm picky when it comes to Mexican food especially breakfast. I'm visiting Midland for the week and will definitely give it a second chance, service was good and the entire restaurant...

The food has been perfect every - single - visit.

This was an absolute delight to be introduced to by a fellow local. I can not recommend it more. The food was truly delicious.

If you're a fan of ma&pops, local dives, or authentic and delicious food, this is a good place to be in Midland.

The staff checked on us regularly, but not TOO regularly, and treated us like they'd known us forever. Such a warm and genuine atmosphere! It's a small and intimate dining room, and staff don't mind altering menu items as it's all cooked fresh to order in...

Had the condesa plate which included 2 cheese enchiladas, a beef taco, & a chile relleno, and I was pleasantly surprised with the taste of the enchiladas. The chile relleno was a little different from what I'm used to in Mexico (Coahuila), but the taste was good. I also liked that they put cheese on the beans and rice as well. Plus service was quick and reasonably priced. All in all, I would recommend trying...
