New place in town! Our group had two appetizers. The first one, The Sweet and Spicy, had candied bacon and fried Jalapenos. This was the perfect blend of sweet, salty, and spicy for me. The bacon was cooked to perfection, not overcooked or undercooked, a perfect blend of salty, sweet and peppery. The fried Jalapenos lightly battered evenly, not soggy at all. They used fresh cut Jalapenos; you can tell the difference between jarred and fresh by the texture. The next appetizer was the Ahi Tuna Tower. The tower was savory, aromatic and flavorful, each layer of the tower distinct in taste and made for an excellent delicious dish. The tower was layered, with avocado, cucumber, crab meat, mango, sesame, and topped with a zesty lime dressing. Plated with micro greens and tortilla chips, great for tasting each layer of the tower. Lastly, we have the main course, the steak and the mac and cheese. They have many different cuts of meat, so I chose the 16oz Ribeye. On top of that you have four different flavors to choose from to have on top of your steak. I chose the classic buttery herb mixture, which was a great blend of buttery, salty, and rosemary mixture, perfect for your steak. I asked for my steak medium-well, the only thing I will say that is slightly negative in nature was that my steak was just slightly overdone. To be honest, I should have ordered the steak medium to begin with, that’s on me. I think it would have come out at a perfectly medium temperature. Overall, though, I still really enjoyed my steak so no major complaints there. The mac and cheese, I was told that it was incredible. Naturally, I had to try it. I really enjoyed the twice baked mac and cheese; I would have to say it was heavenly. It had the right amount of salt and bite for me with the combination of the cheeses. Read moreWent in for lunch. Waited for a table to be cleared as a group of 10 had just left. No biggie. Only other table was a four top. They didn't want to seat in the back dining area. All good we try to be easy. Got sat and ordered drinks and then aps. About 20 minutes in said we'd like to order mains when the waiter was free, as you could tell he was overwhelmed. Another 30 or so goes by and we get our aps. Had to ask for silverware and ate the room temp potatoes skins and the bacon w fried jalepenos. Bacon was cold and floppy but great flavor. The jalepenos were soggy and cold. Another 5-10 minutes go by and waiter asked if we were ready to order. We declined as we had already been there almost an hour and the four top that was seated and ordered when we arrived had just gotten food when we got aps. We just didn't want to wait and the aps were lacking so figured we'd just pay and go. The manger or owner were not on site as far as we could tell. Their was just the waiter and two ppl in back. Really felt for the waiter as he seemed to be bussing, sweeping floors and generally doing everything. Except serving food as it was coming out so slow. The table next to us was just as unhappy and one ordered a 12 oz steak and it appeared to be 6-8oz if I'm being generous. Not sure why MGMT or owners wouldn't be onsite on during the first days /weeks of their opening. Really was excited to have a new place in town. Especially one that has steaks. Read moreWe finally get a date night and a babysitter so we go out for steak to only have one of the worst food experience we’ve ever had. We both ordered the NY strip medium rare (refer to pics). The NY strip arrived , unlike any other Ny Strip we’ve ever seen. The cut that arrived was interesting to say the least. When we cut into them they were both rare and cold to the touch (like refrigerator cold). We kindly pointed this out to our waitress and she agreed with our assessment. She returned our food to the kitchen and came back with our SAME plates (to clarify: the SAME cut in half steaks and same sides) with cold sides and over done steaks. We kindly declined our plates and agreed to pay for our appetizer and beverages an asked for our check. Not once did a manager come over to apologize! Not once was there any offer to remedy the situation. So when it was all said and done we paid our $75 tab and tipped the waitress as if the meal was not taken off.
