Never one to write reviews, especially bad ones. I’ve been in the restaurant business for 20 years and am an owner of a popular restaurant in Midlothian selling similar items like burgers and fries. To me serving someone the type of food I just got should have the place shut down. I ordered a simple order for delivery. From order to my door it took 15 minutes. Very fast. The fries I received defy explanation. In the business for so long, I’m not sure how you get a fry to taste like this. These were not fries that were in a car for maybe a few minutes and are simply cold. This pile of greasy rubber goes down as officially the worst fry I’ve ever had. It’s like they were cooked yesterday, sat out for a few hours, put in a refrigerator overnight, microwaved and sat under a heat lamp for another few hours. Hopefully this reaches the ownership and they’re able to make corrections. I would want to know if my employees were serving stale garbage to customers. Everyone already knows the product is way overpriced. At least they could serve food that was prepared and...
Read moreCame in with my parents and my nephews after a movie. We ordered, 3 burgers, 2 hot dogs, couple drinks and an order of fries. While it’s not a single person order, it’s not a massive order. After waiting more than 25 minutes, while plenty of orders large and small behind us and at least 3 door dash orders were handed out we asked about our order. We were told it’d be just a few minutes they were working on it. 15 min later- A few more orders went out and my dad went back up and inquired if there was an issue with our order. He was told it would be a bit longer, with NO explanation. We had waited no less than 45 minutes. He requested a refund and told them to forget it, at this point the kids were a bit restless. The manager or lead on duty was rude and not very understanding. We ended up with the best service ever at chick-fil-a and spent 1/3 of the cost. Also huge downside is no kids menu but that wasn’t...
Read moreI've gotta drag my overall rating to a 3 star review. I've never minded paying more for a really good burger but their prices have gotten truly ridiculous! $12 for a cheeseburger?!?! How about $7 for my granddaughters grilled cheese. The burgers are great, but the value, the burger for value, not so much. I can cook an equal caliber prime rib burger for far less on the grill at home and based on the diminished crowd sizes I've seen at 5 Guys in recent years, the masses are agreeing. The place used to be frenetic and packed, almost always. It'll probably be a few more years before I venture back, if even then. 5 Guys, get a grip. It's a burger,...
