Title: Disappointing Experience, One Star
Review: I recently had the opportunity to dine at Yewon Korean, and I must say that I was extremely disappointed with my experience. From the moment I walked in, it was evident that the restaurant lacked attention to detail and customer service.
Firstly, the ambiance was underwhelming. The lighting was dim, and the overall atmosphere felt dull and uninviting. It didn't create a pleasant dining environment that one would expect from a Korean restaurant.
Moving on to the service, it was far from satisfactory. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive. It took an unusually long time to get our orders taken, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold and lacked the authentic flavors that I was hoping for. The waitstaff did not bother to check on us during the meal, leaving us with empty glasses and unanswered requests.
The quality of the food was another letdown. The dishes lacked the freshness and vibrant taste that is characteristic of Korean cuisine. The portions were small, and the presentation was mediocre at best. It was clear that the food was not prepared with care or passion.
Furthermore, the prices did not reflect the poor quality of the food and service. I found the overall value for money to be extremely low, considering the subpar experience we had.
In conclusion, my visit to Yewon Korean was a disappointing one-star experience. The lackluster ambiance, poor service, and below-average food quality left me with a negative impression. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Korean...
Read moreWonderful food. Iâm a chef and a lot of times when I get off work I do not feel like cooking for myself, so a lot of fast quick food gets eaten. I decided I didnât want any of the same drive thru bs when I got off and placed a to go order. Iâve dined in here on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. Today I got combination fried rice, and two fish cakes with mozzarella. Both super super good. I was really happy about the fish cakes and mozzarella because I really really like Korean street food and as far as I know this is the only place in my area I can get it. I have a big appreciation for Korean food and culture. Prices âseemâ high but you have to realize what youâre eating. The quality of the food and time it takes to prepare and HOW MUCH you get is beyond worth the price.
The work and time put into the food is what really makes me enjoy it. I love the kimchi and spicy cucumbers that come along with the meals. The sides are top notch. I love all the side dishes almost as much as the mains. Finally got home to sit and eat and Iâm just so happy eating this food. Itâs so fresh, so good, so perfect. The owners and workers are super friendly. Everyone greeted me when I came in. Before I became a chef I had all food customer service jobs and the fact that everyone I saw greeted me means something. If you can, please do support this business. The food is great! If youâre nervous to try new things, donât be scared to ask whatâs good and what youâd like. Theyâll find something for you. 10 out of 10 every time Iâve been....
Read moreThis is our 3rd time dining in and 4th time overall. The food tastes great if you are lucky enough to order according to your tastes.
Today we ordered a fish soup. We asked about it ahead of time. There was no mention on the menu, nor from the server about the bones. Typically we don't like to complain or make a fuss. It could be our fault for assuming there wouldn't be any bones in the fish. It was basically a fish thrown into the soup with zero prep. It is our fault of course and understandably so. Of course we asked to send it back. They said we touched the food and there is nothing they could do about it.
I've never in my life asked to deduct something I did not like from the check. The manager always offers some kind of solution. Gift card, percentage off. Maybe a new menu item at a discounted price. Something to show that they appreciate our business and would like us to visit again.
If there was a warning for the bones I'd have not ordered that dish. This is beyond trying a new dish and disliking it. It is being unable to eat it. I did not want to choke on a fish bone.
This is a place you must only eat at if you 100 percent know what you like and exactly what you are getting. The wait staff can not explain the menu to you. The joy of trying something new and getting absolutely great service is missed at this place. Our area has too many options to go where you feel unwelcome and irrelevant. We pay for the experience, the joy of trying new things and the satisfaction of a great experience. This...
