China House — Restaurant in Midwest City

The atmosphere is not warm at all. I have been a customer for years, because the food that I always ordered was good, so I just put up with it. They had one cashier that used to work there who was so friendly. I would make sure I visited when she was working. I used to tip her really big.

But it's not worth going there now that she's gone. Not only did she remember my name, she would remember what I liked to order, before I even reached the counter to place my order. She made everyone that entered feel real special. The one staffer that was very friendly has quit.

The rest of the staff just stares at you when you enter. The customer has to initiate a greeting, otherwise they will not say hello. They just ask for your order, in a very dry tone & without a smile. They let you see that they just want your money.

The only good thing I can say about this place is that the General Tso's Chicken, rice noodles & Chicken On A Stick are awesome!

But, I don't care how good their food is, because they are kind of pricey, I stopped patronizing their restaurant. There're other Chinese...

Cant beat easy, quick, and delicious Chinese food that's close to my house!

I like to go here for their lunch specials. It is a big lunchtime window so you can get their special between 11am and 3 pm I believe. It's only about $5 and it comes with so much food that you could actually split one dish between two people. Everything I have tried to far has been yummy and full of flavor. The fried rice it comes with is great! Definitely not the healthiest meal, but boy is it satisfying! They have carry out only right now because of Covid-19. They used to have a little area inside you could eat if you wanted to. I'm glad they only have carry out, so it is a little safer for everyone wanting food and working there.

The last time I went there everyone that was working was wearing a mask, even the cooks in the back of the kitchen. That makes me feel like my food is safe and I appreciate them following the mask guidelines. I've went to some other places to eat and no one was wearing a mask....

Would leave zero stars but not possible. My daughter came here to pick up a $70 To-go order. She was asked not to come back because she didn't tip "no tip?! You no come back!" - okay lady.. there are so many places to spend our hard earned money! I’m in the food and bev industry myself and I think this was a little extreme!! If I owned this business I would be outraged!! She didn't serve the meal, she placed the containers in bags. People are getting wild with tips these days and she's threatening her own paycheck and the success of that business over $5.. get out of here! I'll be telling everyone I know...
