I visited this location Friday evening, 08/08 approx 6:15 pm. The incident that I will relate occurred at approximately 7 pm. Upon arriving home, I discovered that the extra side that was ordered wasn't included nor was the sauce. As this was the third time in as many weeks that I received an incomplete order, I elected to call the restaurant. I wasn't looking for free food, I know better than to identify myself and complain to people preparing my food! I was simply going to let the manager know that staff didn't appear to be thoroughly checking orders before sending them out. Upon my first call the response was "Remove us from your calling list". Click. I've had the same phone number for years and the area code is local but I figured I guess it could be assumed that I was a telemarketer. I called again. This time the response was "Golden Chick". I immediately identified that I wasn't a telemarketer as I recognized the voice from the earlier incident and asked to speak to someone in management. The person immediately said "This is the dinner rush, what do you need "? I stated again that I was calling for management and she then stated "I am management, I'm the District Manger as a matter of fact and this is the dinner rush". This woman's tone of voice and attitude was absolutely revolting and made it obvious that I was wasting her time. I stated that as it was busy I would call tomorrow and talk to someone then. I hung up. This woman called me back! She states "Ma'am I told you that this is the dinner rush but I said I would help you." No, she didn't. What she did was make it clear that she was busy and I was wasting her time. I admit, I lost patience at this point. I don't appreciate confrontational behavior and will not entertain the disrespect that accompanies it. I replied that if this was the way she was going to act that I didn't need her help. I thanked her and hung up although she was still talking when I disconnected the call. Outside of the incomplete orders that prompted my call, the food that we did receive was really good. The chicken was moist, the fries crispy, the bread soft. I can understand now the incomplete orders. I have no doubt that employees are trying to keep up with management expectations and customer experience pays the price. Management was rude, condescending, confrontational and made it clear that her time was being wasted. The entire interaction was far from any sembalance of professionalism. I really like the food but I will not be spending money I worked hard for to be spoken to and treated in that manner, should an issue arise. It's a shame but I...
Read moreI used to go to golden chick weekly. that is this golden chick. in Midwest city. over the last 3 years I have went from time to time just to see if it has gotten back to the way it was. I mean like 5 times. tonight m got broken up pieces of chicken strips to make the 30 piece order. my mashed potatoes you could literally drink out of the container. all my rolls were smashed and the chicken tasted old. the mac and cheese had some old mac and cheese that was dryied out and new just dumped on top of it. to top this off we waited for over thirty minutes at the drive through and when ordering the lights were not on on the sign so we couldn't see what sides we wanted to order. our cashier had swet all over her forehead whipping it off with her arm and hand then handling our food without washing. she crossed her arms and put her head down in the window complaining. is this the image you want to give your customer. I loved your dark meat chicken but I can never get it the way I used to get it. it always seems to be old been setting under a heat lamp. tastes like the grease is dirty. so I have went to the tenders now they are getting messed up. I have come to the conclusion that this store no longer cares about quality or their customers. so my business will be going to churches until you...
Read moreSo close, yet so far away...Let me start by saying I stopped (drive thru) at a nonbusy time. Ordered a Big Golden Sandwich with cheese and an unsweetened tea with lots of ice. Got to the window, my sandwich and tea were ready for me and given to me by a very nice young man. Drove down the road to a local park to sit and enjoy my lunch. Took a couple of sips of my unsweetened tea which was actually sweet tea. OK, not what I asked for, but I can deal with that. Just wish that his idea of "extra ice" matched MY idea of extra ice....Parked, unwrapped my sandwich, and took a bite. That chicken tasted amazing. And the bun ALSO tasted amazing. EXCEPT: the bun was cold. Like "just came out of a very cold refrigerator and even this hot chicken hasn't warmed it up" cold. AND....the cheese? That bright artificially orange square plopped on top of my chicken? Either it was also too cold to melt on the chicken or maybe just un-meltable. SO: if anyone from Golden Chick reads this: PLEASE heat those buns. Better yet, toast them a bit? They have a great flavor, but cold buns aren't appealing. And that cheese? Nah, let's not even offer that any more. It's scary. But hey, the chicken DID...
