Hot Chicken Takeover — Restaurant in Mifflin Township

This location has completely fallen apart—and I’m done giving it chances. My family and I have been coming here for years because the food and service used to be amazing. The manager (I can’t remember her name) has always been friendly and welcoming, and that’s the only reason we kept coming back.

Tonight was absolutely unacceptable. The staff was extremely lazy and refused to provide even basic service. They wouldn’t come to the counter to take our order or even accept payment. Instead, they stood in the back yelling across the restaurant like we were an inconvenience.

On top of that, no one wants to walk into a place where employees are blasting loud, inappropriate music from their phones in the kitchen. It felt completely unprofessional and trashy.

It was so bad that we ended up walking out without paying—not because we wanted to, but because no one would do their job. That level of laziness and disrespect is unbelievable.

This place has gone completely downhill. The environment feels out of control, and nobody cares about customers anymore. If this is the new standard, you’ve officially lost loyal customers. Until there is a serious change in staff and management, I will NEVER return—and I will make sure others know exactly how bad...

October 2023 There is nothing but kids running this place on a Thursday evening at dinner time. Their friends came and went with free drinks the entire time we waited and died in. A large group of kids sat in the back and they were noisy. I hate wearing my coat when eating dinner but both doors were propped open and it was freezing in there. It was very uncomfortable. Whomeveranaged during Thursday night dinner needs to rethink their passion.

Update November 2023 This was a totally different atmosphere than what I experienced a month ago and that review was evidence that things ran smoothly!

Update 11/21/24 I don't know about you but Sissy is awesome. She is friendly and passionate about her job. Recently the menu changed. The Mac and cheese taste like noodles with cheez-whiz. They got rid of the waffles fries and that sucks! Now you get crinkle fries....meh! The banana pudding is on point. One out of three ain't bad, according to Meatloaf's 'Two out of three, ain't bad'.

Bring back the waffle fries! And get the floors stripped. They have a buildup of dirt and cleaner which makes...

"You work too hard for your money don't waste it here." That is what we were told by the cashier. This was our first time and wanted to try something new. My husband started to place his order where he was rudely asked what flavor, when he asked what flavors (since we have never eaten here before), he was told at the bottom. I asked if they have just a chicken sandwich with mayonnaise and pickles. I was told they need to remove that comma because they don't have mayonnaise, but they could give me a bun, chicken patty and pickles... but the pickles are sweet. Then when I informed her we had never ate there before she made the statement about not wasting money and go somewhere else. So we did. The cashier even informed us they don't even eat the food there they go to Popeyes. The fact that you have employees that could be so rude and laugh as your customers are walking out the door because they clearly didn’t want to work is disgusting. Will never return to any location.
