Art Garden Academy — Attraction in Mifflin Township

The art classes here are ok, but there wasn't enough supervision for my comfort.

My daughter started taking art classes at Art Garden Studios when she was in the 6th grade. Her first night there the teacher helped her and she brought home an awesome drawing of a tiger. After that they pretty much let her do whatever she wanted. She brought home a few really good drawings and paintings, and some questionable ones.

They have an art show every year where you pay to have your kids art displayed, then the art is judged and voted on and then those people are awarded prizes. No big deal, but the event was a big disorganized mess. I couldn't find my daughter's art because it wasn't in any order that I could recognize.

The two things that happened that finally made me take my daughter out of classes were: 1) I found her outside, at night, during class time unattended in the parking lot. 2) She spent one week painting a canvas purple, then the next week painting it white again. The class worked out to be about $17 a night, and that's what I was paying for? I don't think so!

Maybe the classes are better for the younger kids, but I was unhappy with the quality for the 6th...

I have been with the studio for about 4 years now and I can honestly say that it has been one of the greatest experiences!

The owner, as well as the staff have been encouraging, truthful, and helpful since the day I walked in. They've helped me achieve my goals, challenged me to try new things, and allowed my to grow!

Art Garden Studios provides incredible classes for ALL ages in a friendly, safe environment. The staff and other students have become somewhat like family over the past few years and I am overcome by joy when I think about how much we have all evolved.

My daughter has been going to the Art Garden Studio for the past 2 plus years. She is always so excited and looks forward to her classes each week.Not just her but we as parents too wait each week to see her creations! Juli (the owner) and her staff are incredible! They not only do a wonderful job with their projects and teaching arts each week but have instilled a love for Arts in my kids something very important and critical to us.
