My reluctance to give this restaurant five stars, despite having great food, and decent portions stem from the customer service that was provided. First, a simple hello with a smile can go a long way. Positive customer interactions should be at the pennical of every business, but when you are a small business, your duties should extend beyond the bland greeting that the young lady provided to not only myself, but to all that patroned the business while I was sitting and waiting for my food. Also, I was quite disappointed that the sweet tea was not fresh brewed and was in fact a 3 dollar cup of country time. Lastly, please provide menus for your customers. When I asked for a menu, the young lady proceeded to verbally list every item available,as she stated that there were no menus. In a restaurant, this is unacceptable. There is so many good soul food restaurants in Philly but Delaware is awful. I only been to one establishment here and if I believe is located in Wilmington called Just To Serve You and some of them that work there are from Philly. They have the best soul food hands down in Delaware. This is the third establishment I been to in Delaware and it wasn’t good at all. The pictures looks nice of the food, but don’t be fooled, the taste isn’t. I ordered the fried chicken platter with Mac and Yams. I saw people going in that day so I decided to give it a try and was very disappointed....

They were sold out of a lot- which tells us it's super yummy & genuinely local. There was a bit of a wait, but it was so worth it. I got the fried chicken wings with green beans, fries & a roll. My husband got the fried ribs with green beans, yellow rice & a roll - they were sold out of cornbread (sad face.) The chicken was fried to perfection and the green beans were so tasty that my two year old actually ATE them!!! Their home made blazin sauce was also a very complimentary flavor for the entire meal. Next time we drive through, we will definitely be stopping to eat...
