Excellent first visit! If they stay consistent, they will be a great and much needed addition to the area. This is not your typical Asian restaurant. You enter into a very large foyer with nice Asian decor. From there you enter the restaurant that is 100% decked out in Boston sports memorabilia. They even have a wall that replicates the Green Monstah scoreboard. The restaurant has a modern layout with a very large and well stocked bar on one side and a dining area on the other. It is all in one big open space. It is extremely friendly for all ages. The staff are very friendly and the owner personally checks on how you like the food. My server was Jason. He did a great job, was friendly and it looked like he was making great drinks. I saw a beautiful Scorpion bowl with the flame in the middle. The menu is Chinese and Japanese. They have a sushi station in the restaurant. I like to see how they make certain New England style Chinese food when judging a fusion restaurant for the first time. Here is what I had. Hot and Sour Soup🌶- They do a great job with this. Plenty of flavor, plenty of the fillers like mushrooms, tofu, fungus and so much more. This also had the right amount of heat to clear your nose and leave your lip tingling, but wasn't to hot to overpower the flavor. Highly recommend! Egg Rolls- These highly pass the no duck sauce test. They're delicious whether you used duck sauce, hot mustard or if you ate them on their own. Shrimp with Lobster Sauce-Phenomenal dish! This was thick, shrimp were perfectly cooked, and there was plenty of pork. What really stood out was the complex flavors with just the right amount of garlic, a little egg, and a hint of sweetness all without it having an overpowering sodium taste. This dish done right can be a struggle for a lot of restaurants. It's often too bland or extremely salty. Don't change a thing, this dish is perfect! If you like Lobster Sauce, this is worth traveling for. Kung Pao Three Delight🌶- This was also a great dish. The three is Beef, Chicken and Shrimp. You can tell they velvet the meat, it is extremely tender. The Shrimp were perfectly cooked. Veggies and peanuts cooked perfectly. It had a delicious sauce and tsin tsin peppers to give it a really nice kick. I usually like the veggies cut smaller, however they did a great job. The celery wasn't stringy at all. I very much enjoyed this dish! Highly recommend! Excited to try some of their other dishes! I truly felt very comfortable my first time there. It looks like they are already getting a regular crowd! I'm glad to have a local spot with such good food. Edit: I have been back for lunch. The Shrimp with Lobster Sauce was still amazing! They are very consistent. The Beef Teriyaki is one of the most tender and flavorful that I have ever had. The Chicken Wings had a perfect crunch with a juicy inside. I had wonderful service and the owner checked on everyone eating to make sure they were happy. You could tell she truly cares about your experience! Edit #2 I've been back a half a dozen times. The food has been phenomenal! The orange chicken is so crispy and delicious! The happy family is a perfect dish. The salt and pepper wings are like southern fried crunchy chicken with a kick. The Westlake soup is delicious! The sushi is delicious! I have not had a bad experience. The Mai Tai's...

From the moment I walked into South Side Asian Cuisine, I knew I was in for a treat. The warm ambiance, with its elegant yet cozy décor, immediately set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. This restaurant is a true gem, offering a masterful blend of authentic Asian flavors, modern culinary artistry, and top-tier service.
The menu is an absolute delight, featuring a diverse selection of dishes that celebrate the rich and vibrant flavors of Asia. I started with the crispy vegetable spring rolls, which were perfectly golden and paired with a tangy, house-made dipping sauce that added an extra layer of flavor. The spicy tuna sushi roll was a standout—fresh, expertly rolled, and bursting with flavor in every bite.
For the main course, I indulged in their signature ramen, a bowl of pure comfort. The broth was deep, rich, and umami-packed, with perfectly tender char siu pork and silky noodles that soaked up all the delicious flavors. The Szechuan-style stir-fried chicken delivered just the right amount of spice, balanced beautifully with fresh vegetables and a bold, aromatic sauce.
Just when I thought the meal couldn’t get any better, dessert arrived—the matcha lava cake. It was pure decadence, with a...
Read moreMy wife and I love to check out karaoke on Friday evenings in our area. This was our first visit to South Side. From the moment we walked in the door, we did not feel welcome by any of the staff. Very rude. May have been a husband and wife owner, one of whom “greeted” us. We were shown into a back room, almost like a private function space for karaoke. We were eventually shown to a table, where again, the service was terrible. Drinks and food took a lot of time to arrive, while we watched numerous regulars who were absolutely over-served with alcohol, go up and belt out tunes. So I went up, put 2 songs in, each for one of us. That also took forever. Apparently the DJ (Todd), is new and also doesn’t have a clue how to host the karaoke show. Multiple regulars went up a few times before we could even get one song in before dinner. Our order for food was super easy for food as well. Overall, probably one of the worst dining / karaoke experiences ever. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Karaoke...
