The Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Milford

I went for breakfast with my 18 year old granddaughter on 1/18/25. HORRIBLE. I ordered 2 eggs home fries sausage toast and coffee. My granddaughter ordered 2 pancakes and a apple juice When the food came, I noticed the edge of my plate had something on it. So I ran my finger along the edge of the plate, the old dried on food was enough to turn my stomach, I picked up the plate and looked underneath and there was so much food stuck to the entire bottom of my plate I was shocked. So much so that I can not believe that the cook did not see the old food he was putting my food on. The home fries actually were boiled potatoes with some seasonings for color. I told the waitress about my dirty plate and sent it back. She took that meal off the bill. That left 2 pancakes and a apple juice and a coffe. 26 bucks. Like what??? Great little secret right in town! We had a delicious breakfast/ brunch in this place for the very first time. We didn't even know it existed until a quick need for a nearby brunch search came about. The place is super pretty and cute, gives you that vacation feeling from other touristic towns in New England, however the prices are super reasonable. Worth every penny. Food was delicious. The menu has a long selection of all classic brunch staples, plus a few house combinations. They have breakfast available all day. Although they close early afternoon. I loved this place . My mom likes the food and likes to come here but today was not a good visit. Why? Because the waitresses and some costumers were laughing and talking about how immigrants don't speak I'm English or can't communicate and go to the restaurant and don't know how to communicate. Honestly this turns me away. Everyone has the right to their beliefs but maybe keep them to yourself. My mother was on the phone talking in Spanish and they kept looking out way. If you are from other cultures and don't speak well don't come here. They seem to not be friendly to us here. Not unless you want to be...
