Taqueria La Estrella — Restaurant in Milford

Visited Taqueria La Estrella for the first time tonight. I’m not sure what I expected but my expectations have been blown away. I’m a huge taco fan and they really bring super authentic tacos to Milford! If you think you’ll get a hard shell or big flour tortilla you’ll be in for a little surprise. Authentic tacos are usually made with smaller soft corn tortillas. Estrella delivers on those perfectly, balancing the consistency and flavor to pair perfectly with whatever meat you order inside! The meats are incredibly flavorful. So far I tried the steak, pastor (a pork), chorizo, and shrimp. Each one shined with its own savory flavors. Topped with cilantro and onion, and add either their hot or mild salsa... Perfect. Service and staff was super friendly. Lots to pick from on the menu, I definitely suggest to try out some different things! If your interested in real good authentic tacos and such, stop...

I would not even give one star. I called and asked for a specific diet . The supervisor told me there is no option in her computer to put just what i want in the order. I mentioned to her i can't eat onion and garlic . She said order online, now in the options on online, it does not mention onion in the burrito, so i did not think there is any onion. I take the order home and it had onion. I call back and this time the lady says she will write it down what i want and she will charge me again...so asked to speak to the supervisor and she yelled at me saying she is the supervisor. In the first place she could have written my order, but she did not. They just lost a lot of future business from us and all the people we would have recommended to them for a mere burrito. I went here twice in a row because it was that good. I had the Steak Tacos with no onions [be warned, it states on the menu it comes with Cilantro and Onions - so if you don't like something; you need to state that when you order] The Tacos came on two hot fresh tortillas and it tasted incredible. Simple but so delicious. I got a side of Guac with chips. The Guac was so fresh. Pop of lime broke through and it was so good. I haven't tried anything else on the menu because I am so satisfied with my Steak Tacos!

Staff was friendly and greeted me in Spanish which I loved. I know minimal so it was nice to have a brief "hi good afternoon how are you" conversation. She immediately asked how my meal was yesterday and we engaged in some friendly chat. Such nice people. I will be back for...
