I am a regular Pizza Pete customer. I order at least once a week if not more. I always order gluten free and vegan cheese. Last week I ordered and received a gluten free crust with regular cheese. It's a busy time of year and it never happened before. My family ate the pizza and I made myself a meal I could eat. I ordered a couple days ago for our entire family 6 pizzas, 3 gluten free with vegan cheese. I asked the order be read back to ensure it would be correct. Kaylee read back the order and it was placed. When I picked up my to go order it was incorrect. One of the pizzas had cheese not gluten free cheese. When I said this is incorrect Kaylee informed me she read the order back to me and that was the correct order. When I stated that was absolutely not the order she said no I read it back to you and that is what you ordered. She offered no solution and informed me she could not give me a free pizza. I did not ask for a free pizza, I asked for what I ordered. Out of the 4 employees in the pizza shop at that time not one person offered a solution. Kaylee informed me they could make another pizza and I could pay for it. WHAT!!!! This was an $80 pizza order. I live 20 minutes from Pizza Pete's, so hold onto my pizza order while you whip another up? I paid the bill and left, not happy. Pizza Pete's got paid for an incorrect order. Worse experience ever. Called numerous times to get a busy tone. When someone finally answered was put on hold for 10 mins. Hung up and called back busy tone. Figured I drive there. Called again got through again just to be put on hold. Was on hold until I got there. Wasnt that busy the issue was that someone from the back was tired of hearing the phone ring pick it up place them on hold and not tell the girl who is supposed to answer it. Will not be my first or second option anymore the prices are not worth the customer service. Update . Not many places care about a review nor did the owner ask me to change my review. Tons of respect to the owner of this place for taking her time to reach out to me and apologize for what happened Saturday. I hope she can get her employees to understand the importance of good customer service because they really have some of the best...
Read moreI’m only leaving this review with the hope that I will one day get to eat Pizza Pete’s again. Didn’t have the heart to give probably the best pizza in Erie a 1. But I have been unable to place an order for two weeks now, calling and only getting busy signal. I understand that Friday and Saturday dinner time is peak time, but I called literally 100 times over the course of 20 minutes and didn’t get through. (Feels weird to even admit that, but good pizza is worth it.) In the past I have had to call 30, 50 and even got through on the 101st call once, so I wasn’t dialing the wrong number or anything. Second week giving up, so please Pizza Pete’s, get a proper calling system or something.
Edit - I will place an order ahead of time in the future. Imagine that... duh! But I will save that (well deserved) fifth star for when you open a second location on the east...
