We had seen this place on a TikTok by SLCFOODIE. We drove 25 minutes to arrive at a restaurant at the end of a strip mall next to a nail place and a chiropractor. We walked in at 5:45, and we were the only ones there which should have been a sign. The decor and paint was decades old. We were sat in a weird half booth/half chairs 6 top table for some reason, even though there was 2 of us. The table was placed under a TV playing Korean music videos, which they did offer to turn down. First we ordered iced tea. 1 was brought out and we were informed they had ran route while making the 2nd one. We ordered Gyoza which was fine, and hot and sour soup. The rolls came out, and they just weren't great. Nothing specifically wrong, but not great. No offers of refills on our drinks, no waters. Our server eventually came over and while there was still 4 pieces on our plate, dumped our dirty napkins on it, and our wasabi bowls, as I said "We weren't done!". She did feel bad, and brought us an order of rangoons to go. Bill was around $50 out the door. 2 hours later I'm home with a sick stomach. Would not recommend.

I had high hopes for this place. Close to home, reasonable prices, but I ordered sushi and curry online and drove down to the restaurant and walked in and waited, and waited, and waited, then I asked the host what was happening, he said it wasn't quite ready, so I paid and tipped, and then I waited, and waited and waited. The guy ignored me for 35 minutes AFTER when my order was supposed to be ready. I asked again, Not quite ready. Then an Uber-eats driver, who had been waiting 15 minutes, started checking bags, SHE asked me my name and there was my food, sitting there the whole time. 55 minutes total. No apologies, no amends, no shame. So now I have cold curry and warm sushi, yummy. So much for high hopes. Food was not great either when we finally ate it, really just eh. Maybe 3 starts for the food, the 1 star was for the whole experience. I wouldn't recommend this place and will not go back or give them a second chance without an apology. You can't see the temperature in the pictures, but the filter makes it look better than it was ;)

I might be biased because I live across the street, but this restaurant has great to go service. Besides the one time I received half thawed seaweed salad because it was before noon when I ordered, I’ve never had a bad meal here. I’ve only dined in twice, once at a table and most recently at the sushi bar. I remember the first time being totally acceptable and the sushi chefs tonight were super busy. It’s never been a popular dine-in place. Still it’s clean and respectable. But the kitchen and sushi chefs are always busy as hell proving that this is the place for take out. I order 2-3 times per week admittedly… Their sushi is great you just need to know what you like. They have good pad Thai and Chinese dishes too. I like their fairly priced hot sake, they have the typical choices. I took a picture of the Hot Baby Roll tonight. It’s good. I like the things they do with lemon here.

The sushi is decent (though they messed up my order, what I got was still pretty good), but the overall experience was terrible. Major communication issues between the staff and through their systems. At first they tried to get me to pay/take the completely wrong order, then they realized they lost my online order, but rather than apologize and offer a make-good while I waited, they lied about it and told me I must not have done it... only to ignore me once I showed them the confirmation receipt. Of course, their half promise to make it next was completely ignored and several more orders came out before mine finally did.

Additionally, the host told me that the online ordering on their own website (not doordash etc.) was "a scam", everything was marked up there, and it was a total crapshoot as to if you got your order. This would be 4* for the food, but there are many places to get sushi in SLC that have reliable process, correct orders, and friendly staff. I...
