Nectar Cafe & Juice Bar — Restaurant in Millsboro

Today was our first visit to the Millsboro location. I stopped in with my 19-year-old daughter to grab an açaí bowl to go. We were warmly greeted by the kind gentleman at the podium, which gave us a great first impression.

Unfortunately, that experience quickly shifted. My daughter’s drink, which was ordered iced, was mistakenly prepared hot by the woman working behind the counter. When my daughter pointed this out, the woman behind the counter responded with visible irritation—folding her arms, wearing a scowl, and treating my daughter with noticeable rudeness and disdain. Although the error wasn’t hers, the associate projected frustration toward my daughter rather than addressing the mistake professionally or with understanding.

Very nice experience having lunch with my daughter and granddaughters! The food was very fresh, and their dishes are creative. Each one of us got something different and it was all very tasty. My granddaughters were enamored with all the beautiful tea pots, and china cups. They enjoyed each getting their own pot of tea and each a different beautiful cup. I’ve heard from friends who have been that the juices are excellent but my daughter and I opted for coffee on this rainy day. That was not a good idea. The coffee was just meh. Still, the service was good and the café has a lovely decor, light and airy, yet still traditional. It was very inviting and comfortable, which makes you want to linger after eating. My office has ordered via DoorDash several times and something always ends up missing from the order. I love the salmon citrus salad. It always tastes amazing, but there is usually, what seems like, a full head of bibb lettuce in it and much less of anything else. Today this was an extreme case of this as there was half the portion of salmon that it usually comes with, a single sliver of fennel and a handful of citrus segments along with the typical ridiculous amount of lettuce.
