This place was really cozy and much quieter than a regular bowling ally. They have less lanes (only 24 to be exact) so there is less noise. I don't see lane quantity being a issue unless it's a weekend. There were plenty available when I went on a Thursday night around 6pm. It was very clean and well kept, no issues with the quality of the lanes, although they are pretty bouncy so watch out if you're not a smooth bowler.

COMFORT: They have Xl sized plush couches which are really comfy to take a break on and they have a seperate eating area right behind it. Restrooms are easily accessible which is nice because I had to run back and forth a couple of times to wash my hands. Temperature was nicely regulated if you're into that type of thing. We stayed for about an hour and a half and could have stayed longer but 3 games were enough.

FAMILY: Very kid friendly, variety of foods, and an arcade. Not the most up to date arcade but it was a good size and kids seemed to enjoy it. They had dinosaur shaped ball helpers which I thought were super cute! The food I can't comment on because I didn't eat there, I just saw what their menu had to offer, which was a lot.

STAFF: Staff was helpful, understanding, and caring. The clientele seemed like nice friendly people as well. Very down to earth, one regular they have even helped my boyfriend and I with our throws and cheered us on.

PRO LEAGUER: They have a bowling shop at the entrance. Looked like a good selection and high quality stuff. I'm not a pro bowler but from what I saw I think anything you could possibly need or restock up on is sold there. Also I know they have leagues on Wednesday around 7pm but I'm not sure about other days or times.

PAYMENT: THEY DO NOT TAKE CARDS, CASH ONLY. They do however have a atm handy. I can't vouch for whether or not it has a fee. I didn't have to use it.

BALLS: Wide selection of bowling balls but they are sort of outdated/worn, still completely usable and functional though. Unfortunately the sizes are kind of scattered around and hard to tell which is which unless you're familiar with their color coordination. (I.e orange being an 8 pounder, etc.) one size is at the entrance, another size is by food, etc. My boyfriend had trouble finding an 11 and ended up sticking with just a 10 because it was a hassle finding where they kept them. For example, if you're on the lane all the way down at one end of the alley and you bowl with an 8, then you have to walk all the way across to the other side of the alley to get it. It's still a small place so not too too far of a walk. You only need to pick it up and put it back once but still, it's slighty inconvenient and confusing if it's your first time there or don't bowl often.

PRICES: The games here cost a little bit more than what I'm used to. It's $4.50 per person per game. So 1 two person game is $9. Other places I know of are more around $2.75, $3.95, and some specials are even as low as $1.75 a game. I'm not aware of Millsboro having any daily special rates like other places do but I could be wrong. It doesn't sound like much of a difference but when you play multiple games with multiple people, any dime counts and can add up quickly. Pro leaguers signed up there can bowl for a dollar off, so it's only $3.50 a game for them.

SHOES: Shoe rentals are $3 compared to $2 or $2.50 at other places. The shoes were nice and seemed well taken care of, almost brand new.

These price increases might be partially due to having less lanes than other places but in conclusion, the service and experience you can obtain from here makes your...

Today, Sunday, (open bowl listed from 11am-12pm) I went to Millsboro lanes and asked for 2 lanes for a party of 7 at 3pm and they told me it would be a 40min-1hr wait. So i stood to the side until less then 5 minutes later they said they said they had lanes for me. An outrageous over estimation. When the rest of my party arrived it turned out to be 9 people rather than the 7 i expected, No big deal, more business for the alley. Well an employee walked to our lanes very irritated and stated that we were only allowed to play 1 game because we lied about our party size and would now take too long to complete a game. Never have i been to a business and been confronted in such a rude and unreasonable outburst. When a lane malfunction occured due to a novice mistake another employee came to fix it and was angry and told the teen that what he did was wrong, as if he didnt already know that. I felt like my business was unwelcome and that they did not value providing a good experience to their customers. I was a long time regular to Millsboro lanes, today i was very, very...

Attended a child's birthday party at Millsboro Lanes. The Alley was clean, well lit, and well maintained. Plenty of bowling balls available. However, it was severely understaffed that day. There was ONE employee manning the snack area, bar AND serving THREE birthday parties with NO assistance. Apparently another employee who was to help with the parties as well as regular customers had called off, and although there were two other employees there, one taking care of the main business desk, and another floating around the alley. As a result of the Lone Overstretched Snack area worker, scheduled food and drinks for the birthday parties were disrupted, and other customers as well. BUT that Lone employee in my opinion should get a raise and be highly commended for handling the day. I do recommend this Bowling Lane but be patient if a similar...
