Pittsburgh Sandwich Society Food Truck — Restaurant in Millvale

I have been a fan of pghsandwich society since they were located in lawrenceville. Since moving to strange roots, the burgers and sandwich quality remains fantastic, but the fries have become not the greatest. They are very thin and salty (MY FAVORITE), but since the move, it's obvious that the fries are almost always old and cold by the time they get to you. It seems like they drop the fries at the same time as the sandwichs, so the fries end up sitting out and getting cold and hard and pretty gross by the time the sandwich is done.

We have been wanting to put in two separate orders for the fries and burgers because it's so bad. Instead we just haven't been back to my favorite burger store and have been heading to burghers in Lawrenceville instead.

This was worth being a tad late from my lunch. I was worried this grilled chicken sandwich would lack texture because I opted out on the bacon as I don't eat pork. They one upped it with chips! It made me feel like a bit of a kid every time I bit into it. I rejoiced at not having to use the ketchup I put on the side because this sandwich is packed with flavor that makes it well worth the nine dollars they asked for. Did I inhale it pretty quickly at my desk? Yes! The other surprise was for someone who doesn't like avocados they made me a believer today. They have a spicy avocado Mayo and my oh my. Nice spot for sandwiches. Menu is somewhat limited, but they have most of the basics (traditional burgers and then the chicken alternatives). Good prices for the most part. I got to try their grilled chicken club.

It was very well made. $13, a decent price, and the chicken was definitely pretty high quality. I do with it came with fries or some sort of side, but it was still good. Bacon was amazing: large slabs, and very crispy. Green sauce was flavorful and bun was nicely toasted.

All in all, I would recommend this spot. The sides are more a la carte so it might drive the price up quite a bit, but the burgers and sandwiches are some of the best around. Great for...
