Update: The food has drastically changed again. It is now in my opinion the best Indian restaurant in south jersey (and maybe all of NJ). Almost every item is amazing. The malai kofta is divine. The service is also excellent (not a common find at an Indian restaurant tbh). The two main servers are super friendly and the food comes out pretty quick!
Update: The food has drastically improved lately. It’s not the best Indian food I’ve had but it’s pretty good, especially for a quick weekday meal. The dal makhani is good, the chili paneer is very good and the malai kofta is also serviceable. Not sure if they changed chefs or something but I’m very happy that I don’t have to drive all the way to Camden county or Atlantic county for Indian restaurant food now.
If you are an Indian person looking for good Indian restaurants food, DO NOT COME TO ROYAL SPICE. Absolutely dreadful food and bad service. We ordered Gobi Manchurian as a starter and it was basically battered cauliflower in ketchup. The malai kofta was so bland. It had no flavor whatsoever. The aloo Gobi was the same, completely disgusting and bland. My mom can make all of these dishes at home WAY better than whoever is the chef. The only good thing was the naan and roti which if you have the equipment is...
Read moreWell everyone, as I usually tell you if you read my reviews, I have been all around the world. I have tried different types of food. But there is an Indian Restaurant in Millville New Jersey that has been popular and talk of the town recently. I went there once with my daughter who liked it and ordered some stuff. I was so impressed with this type and style food, I spoke to some friends who heard about it and actually went there and enjoyed a little of just about everything. Now, I went out with this couple and we all chipped in on the bill. Started with a bread called Naan, which we got the garlic Naan. Ordered Chicken 65...wow, mouth watering. Chicken Curry, Chicken Butter...wow, Lamb Rogan Josh...nice, Goat masala and had ice cold water. Now this is a BYOB establishment, so we came with beer. Service was great, prices good, and of course the bathroom very clean. I truly enjoyed this experience and would recommend this to anyone who likes to try something outside their comfort zone. Take a chance and try this fine...
Read moreMy husband, nephew, and I bought takeout from here for the first time tonight. It was the first time trying Indian cuisine. We went in to the restaurant to ask a few general questions about what came with the entrees and what they’d recommend for first timers. The place was clean and decorated beautifully with a very welcoming atmosphere, and the gentleman who helped us was very patient and kind answering our questions very thoroughly. We were recommended Butter chicken and Tikka Masala. We ordered both and threw in curry chicken to boot with orders of plain naan and the garlic naan. It was all DELICIOUS! Everyone agreed the butter chicken was the favorite but you couldn’t go wrong with any. The garlic naan won our hearts and we recommend everyone try it to heighten the flavor of their meals! Food was a bit more expensive than our traditional sort of takeout fair but all three of us were extremely happy by the end of our meal with leftovers to spare for...
