VERY RUDE! STALE BREAD ROLLS! VERY POOR SERVICE! Pre ordered lumpia and bread rolls for pick up at 12 noon on Christmas eve. It took us an hour and a half wait to get our order. Apparently they had to take frozen lumpia from their refrigerator and asked the kitchen to cook it just then. We waited until it was cooked then as soon as it came the person who was about to place our order in a bag stopped and entertained someone else who had to show him something on his phone. He knew we were waiting but instead of handing our order to us he , took his sweet time of entertaining a persons phone and completely ignored us! Very RUDE! On top of that, we came home, served the bread rolls and it was STALE. I ordered two bags of bread rolls and both were stale. It took them one hour and a half to prepare our pre ordered pre paid food. Apparently the person infront of us had a problem with her pre ordered food. We all had to wait until they were able to solve the mis communication of the person's order... it was spaghetti then change to something else ...etc. Very RUDE and very POOR quality of food and very POOR SERVICE!!! If there is a zero or no star at all that would be my rating for Goldilocks...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm a regular here, and though I admit that the service could be more efficient and less confusing, the food itself has never disappointed me. We regularly order the chop suey, pork sinigang (sour soup), chicken inasal, BBQ sticks, fresh lumpia, palabok, arroz caldo, and bistek (onion beef) -- all delicious -- and those don't even cover half of the items they have available!
The lumpia shanghai and chicken empanadas are my go-to tray orders when contributing to a potluck event. You can call ahead to place your order on the phone and pick it up when you're ready (just be prepared that if they are busy, they might not pick up the phone at first).
It can get a little chaotic with the ordering system. You wait until someone is free to assist you, and you order one item at a time. I wish you could just order everything at once and they would write it down and move on. But, oh well, it is what it is. Much of the staff is friendly enough... maybe because they recognize me because I am there...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited Goldilocks Restaurant with high hopes given the iconic name associated with Filipino cuisine, but unfortunately, I was left rather disappointed. First off, their portions felt minimalistic at best. Each dish seemed to favor an excessive amount of soup while skimping on the actual meat, which was quite a letdown. The quality of their offerings didn't resonate with the authentic Filipino flavors I've been accustomed to, especially when compared to the heartwarming meals from one's home.
Furthermore, while I understand that restaurants can get swamped during peak times, the staff's demeanor took a sharp turn for the worse when things got busy. The rudeness exhibited was uncalled for and significantly impacted the overall dining experience.
In a place where genuine Filipino food is a cultural treasure, Goldilocks sadly falls short in delivering both in taste and service. I'd recommend exploring other options if you're keen on relishing true...
