The atmosphere was definitely clean! I went Sunday and again Tuesday. I wanted to give the benefit of doubt so I returned with high hopes. The waitresses were nice, neat, and polite both days. I ordered fish dinner which included 2 sides mac n cheese yams. I ordered a side of greens and a mix punch. Greens very salty so I did call and they said I could bring them back to exchange, which I did on Tuesday. While there, I ordered chicken dressing and yams and another punch. The waitress that brought me the food stated that the food is to the chef's liking and there is no return. I explained that I was given permission. Understood! I hope the food will be good with high hopes again. The yams were consistent again they were delicious. This time the greens were good, totally opposite of the ones on Sunday. I don't have high blood pressure but if anyone did I'm sure there pressure was raised. I was glad the 2nd time was a charm with the greens. Now for the chicken dressing, I've never tasted sour breaded chicken dressing. The dressing tasted as if lemon was dropped in the recipe by mistake. It was impossible to eat just as the 1st batch of over salted greens. If a restaurant has no returns or exchanges the food should be consistently tasteful. I spent $47 Sunday and returned and spent $24 Tuesday as a act of good faith. Advice as a foodie, make sure as a chef that the food is edible before giving it to a customer. Someone should taste it. Especially when you are establishing potential customers that could be returning customers. Price should show grace if there is no consistent tasteful food $30 for dinners with 2 sides. All chefs make mistakes but ownership/accountability for your mistake should be at the top of the list. Which is good customer service! I would not discourage anyone from going in hopes that it gets better! The potential to be a great place to dine is definitely there, just need a few areas perfected. And its very clean place with...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to 1700 pull up , I had the displeasure of interacting with the new manager, Ciera (or Cici). The customer service experience was far from satisfactory, as Ciera displayed a rushed and judgmental attitude towards customers. Her lack of professional etiquette was evident, and it's concerning that she represents the face of the company.
Moreover, yesterday’s (Friday June 21)experience was particularly disappointing as I felt rushed by Ciera to eat and leave. This sense of hurried service detracted from the dining experience, leaving me with a negative impression of the establishment.
Since recently Ciera joined the team, there has been a noticeable shift in the atmosphere .Her behavior towards customers and fellow employees has been less than welcoming. It's disheartening to witness the negative impact she has had on both customers and staff members. Her demeanor gives off "mean girl" vibes and undermines the team dynamic.
It's crucial for a manager to embody professionalism, respect, and team spirit. Ciera's behavior not only risks alienating customers but also creates a toxic work environment for employees. I believe that additional training in customer service and interpersonal communication would greatly benefit the manager in question. It's essential for someone in a leadership role to treat customers with respect and professionalism, qualities that were noticeably lacking during my visit.
Improving customer service skills is crucial for maintaining a positive image and fostering customer loyalty. I hope that the management takes steps to address these issues to ensure a more pleasant experience for all patrons...
Read moreLets starts by saying if I could give this place 0 stars I would.
As soon as my son ( 8 yo) and I walked in, we felt like an outsiders. There was immediate eye rolls and agitation from the staff. There was no sense of warmth , customer service or engagement from the staff.
We were sat down at 4:30pm and were told the kitchen closed at 5pm but that we would have time to place an order. The waiter/"manager" Ciara seemed rushed and annoyed to serve us, informed us that the kitchen was "backed up" and would be right with us to place an order. We were never given a menu or QR code to place an order. A half hour passes and I inquire if we could place an order , Ciara then became irritated and avoided given me a direct answer. At this point I went to another waiter and asked if I could place our order, Ciara then walked up to me giving me a smart remark stating "you have to go through me to place an order and I don't think we will be able to place an order for u anymore we have ran out of Almost everything". I then asked her what did they have left since my son and I had been waiting for over a half hour to place an order and were hungry. 10-15 minutes later she informs us that they only have 2-3 items left, we place the order from the very limited "menu". Our food was served in a to go container as we came in for dine in . $25 dollars for leftovers. This is the worst soul food dine in experience I have come across. I was looking forward to dining in here with my son and will not return nor recommend this establishment going forward. Kindness goes a long way and the staff here is...
