Love this place! Been going here for years, and although I no longer live in MKE I will stop by anytime I'm in the area if I can. You can't beat their Reuben, in bang for your buck OR in taste & quality! Ok I'm drooling now... May need to make a trip soon 😁 Edit 3/12/25: made the 45 min drive down again today and it's as amazing as it's ever been. Prices have gone up slightly, which is to be expected with how much costs have risen on literally everything the past few years. That said this is STILL an absolutely amazing deal and still the Holy Grail of Reuben sandwiches! Got the combo and after tax my total was $17.35. Sandwich was absolutely massive and jam-packed with juicy, tender, delicious corned beef as usual. One thing they DO NOT do here is skimp on the goods. Bag of fries was packed pretty tight as well. The soda was ice cold, the food was fresh and hot. When I walked in at about 230pm it was busier than I've ever seen it - the line to order was all the way to the window at the front of the building and some people were waiting outside for their number to be called because it was so packed. Even with how busy it was, they were still cranking it out - it took me a bit to get to the front to order, and my meal was ready by 250pm. It was worth every damn minute of that wait. I literally was so impatient to eat it that I pulled around the corner, parked on 17th, and mowed down. While I did that I called my dad who introduced me to 1614 about 20 years ago, because he's in AZ for the winter and I obviously had to make him jealous 🤣 Best part is, one meal from 1614 in the middle of the afternoon is more than enough food to keep you full for the rest of the night. If I had to complain about anything, it's that they need one or two more ketchup packets to go with the mountain of fries and they need to put more napkins in that bag because lorddd when I tell you that Reuben is a HOT mess to eat in the best way possible! Seriously though do yourself a favor and just go. Get. The. Sandwich. 🙌🏻

I'm a corned beef man. We have two corned beef places in the neighborhood. McBob's and Jakes. Both of those forementioned places are living off of their reputations. They used to be great, but because of management changes, or just resting on their laurels. They dont make a great sandwich like they use to. Deli 1614 is a small hole in the wall. No frills no thrills. While driving if you blink you will pass right by it. But out that hole in the wall, there is greatness. One of the best corned beef sandwiches l've ever tasted . I recommend the corned beef deluxe with extra meat. Deli 1614 is now the place to go for a delicious corned beef sandwich.

I decided to order my daughter and I lunch today and it was TERRIBLE customer service! Mt son picked up my order for 2 sandwiches and fries. The 1st order was correct. The 2nd order was totally wrong! I texted my son the order for Philly chicken & steak sandwich and the cheese corned beef fries. I received a I guess Philly chicken and NO FRIES!!! When my son went back up there to correct the order the clerk was very Unprofessional, Uncaring and Unpleasant over the mistake! She was arguing with my son that it was his mistake and not hers. I asked how much was the two sandwiches and fries each because the ONLINE MENU PRICES ARE INCORRECT! This order cost me $22.14 and I will NEVER ORDER FROM 1614 Ever Again! I would've paid for the fries had the clerk been a little more PROFESSIONAL abd NOT Arguing with your...
