Aliota's Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Milwaukee

What a hopping place! How have I not come here all these years? It is located in a very unlikely location - I pass by all the time and didn't really realize it was a pub.

Quaint vibes and a great place to watch some games if there are anything Milwaukee going on, methinks. There's also a dart board and it was busy at 5pm on a Saturday. We were out on a walk and just walked in. By 6, the place was getting pretty full.

I thought our server was kinda brusque at first, but she warmed up pretty quick. She was funny, kind, and fast. Awesome!

I've had better food, but their burger was still pretty good, and I'd definitely go back for some seconds.

IPA (5.5) forgot what hubby had, but I loved it.

hangover helper (14) I didn't have a hangover, and you don't have to have one to get this wonderful burger. It was cooked perfectly medium and with a perfectly runny egg. I asked how much they charged for lettuce, onion and tomatoes, and our server looked at me like I was crazy. "who does that?" she asks. I know! I fell in love with the place right then and there. lol And the lettuce was a good enough size for those on keto journeys like me - I could wrap half my burger in it and eat it like that. I love that so much more than when they give you cut up lettuce.

wings (16) ok, so I won't be getting this again unless I'm back on Thursdays for their wing special. Not bad, but not great either. The wings themselves aren't breaded or seasoned. They're just straight fried wings. Perfect for keto, since it's not breaded. But a little seasoning would have been helpful. We did ask for sauce on the side, but usually the wings themselves have some seasoning, like salt, on them, don't they? Oh well. The sauce (habanero mango) was good, about the same as what we get anywhere else.

overall, a jolly day and we're coming back for sure! This would be an awesome place to be for watching a game.

hubby had fish fries for lunch on Friday and said they were ok...

The bartender, the night of 19 May 24, may have just cost this bar a fairly regular customer who tips well and generally spends a good amount of money each visit. While I’ve normally had a good experience at this establishment, last night was certainly not one of those occasions! Despite being visibly and vocalizing my emotionally distraught night, with my twin brother being in the hospital, and fighting for his life in SC, the bartender had the audacity to make rude and unfounded statements about me. The interaction with previous staff has been phenomenal!! But this individual is one of the rudest, and outright worst bartender I’ve ever experienced in my life. On top of showing herself to be a completely despicable human being, who has no regard for others. NOT a great quality for a bartender, and certainly not someone I would hire for my business…. These employees and type of people will cost you customers, ultimately income. I hope management deals with this individual! I’d never attempt to have someone fired…. But this situation was ENTIRELY INEXCUSABLE & UNWARRANTED BEHAVIOR!! Which means it should at least be addressed. 😔 What if the situation with my brother caused me to be suicidal and her being a horrible person was the nudge that sent me over the edge? These types of employees are NOT good for business!! 🤷‍♂️ And I’m speaking as a business...

The food was pretty average, the service was great, and the atmosphere wasn't so bad.

My group and I sat at the patio and it was nice and clean despite being a bar and outside. There was still indoor seating also. We all ordered different variations of burgers and as an appetizer a quesadilla. The burgers were pretty small for what I would expect from bar food, but they did taste good. The quesadilla was okay, but it was pretty greasy. The server was awesome, and he said he was new, but that didn't stop him from doing a great job. The music was pretty usual 80s, 90s, and early 2000s type of stuff. It's next to a lot of other little places like dairy queen and upper crust pizza so the parking is kind of limited, but on a Sunday evening it was just fine. That could change when the sports season starts.

Overall, it wasn't bad. I've seen them play cornhole and some other little lawn games outside of the restaurant before too. I've passed by many times, and today was the day to try it. ...
