Arrogance comes in all shapes and sizes. My friend and I walked into Boone and Crockett on a late Saturday afternoon in November. We were older than anyone else by a few decades. In Milwaukee usually no one cares. Boone and Crockett was different. We sat at the bar, ready to enjoy a few cocktails. With an interesting location on the river, Boone and Crockett's geography provides immediate identity. The decor is midwestern generic but most would consider it nice. A bearded and burly bartender told us to look at the QR code for the cocktail list without eye contact and then completely ignored us. After ten minutes I was literally waving my arms like a signal officer on an aircraft carrier, and a female bar keep from the other end of the bar disengaged and walked over to take our order. She was nice enough but disappeared, leaving only the burly, surly, and bearded one. He continued to ignore us. The place was filling up with a crowd that looked like Marquette students. They were young and preppy. This ain't Bayview.
After twenty minutes attempting to order a second drink, we gave up, but they had my credit card. We threw on our coats, and the burly, bearded one went to the register without looking at us, and tossed the bill and card on top of the bar and walked away. I signed, grabbed the card, and vacated Boone and Crockett, never to return. I left a tip because I'm a wimp. We drove to the Lost Whale on KK in Bayview and had a great time. Boone, Crockett, Burly and Surly...

From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with an atmosphere that oozes fun and charm. But what truly set the evening apart was Kim, the bartender whose expert mixology and effortless elegance turned a simple drink into an experience.
Kim’s cocktails were nothing short of masterpieces—each one perfectly balanced, thoughtfully crafted, and served with an artistry that only comes from true passion for the craft. Whether it was a classic or something more adventurous, every sip felt like a revelation. But it wasn’t just the drinks that impressed; Kim’s sense of fashion was as impeccable as her mixology skills, effortlessly blending style and grace behind the bar.
What truly stood out, though, was Kim’s hospitality. With each pour, there was a personal touch, an attentive care that made me feel like a regular even though it was my first visit. It’s rare to find someone who can combine such skill with such warmth.
Boone is more than just a bar; it’s a destination for those who appreciate the finer things in life. And with Kim behind the bar, every moment spent there is sure to be unforgettable. I’ll certainly be back—if only for another taste of Kim’s unparalleled cocktails and...

I had just arrived to meet some friends. Went to order my first drink of the night for myself and a few others. I took a seat at the bar and patiently waited for several minutes where the bartender eventually acknowledged me, but skipped me for other patrons who arrived after me, not a problem I was in no rush.
When I was asked for my other I got 3 old fashions (brandy sweet) I noticed a friend behind me who wanted to order and asked what she wanted. She told me a sparking water which I relayed to the bartender, then she added a coke which I relayed to bartender.
He then yelled at me for doing this? I apologized and said I was just trying to streamline the process (as it was taking a long time for a quiet Thursday night) and he rudely said that that was his job to do.
I was very taken aback, have never been treated so rudely by a bartender in my life. Not how I would treat someone I am going to ask for a tip from moments later.
I’ve read some reviews about this bartender, seems to be a pretty unpleasant person. Lots of great bars and restaurants in Milwaukee to spend your money...
