Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ DELICIOUS pizza! There are plenty of fun specials themed around local places, and there was even a contest to get your own “fixture” on the wall going on! I HIGHLY recommend the hot honey, especially on the bread crusts of the pizza! Alas, both times we’ve gone, we got the widow pizza, so I can’t tell you about the variety!
Drinks: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I don’t drink, but the water is great! According to some bargoers I asked, the Italian spritz is “beautiful”. The bartender has been bartending for 16 years! There are abundant nonalcoholic beers available, stretcher rootbeer and cream soda (yum!), Red Bull, and coffee!
Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cozy and welcoming! The servers, the usher, the bartender- everyone is lovely! There is music playing, chatter from the bar, and sports tvs! I saw Uraguay beat Brazil on the penalties!! Awesome! Very aesthetic presentation of the building overall- hole in the wall feel. There are booths, tables, and bar seats. The bathrooms are stylized, although the stall door gap is a bit wide for my liking!
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ note: this is a slow food joint, at least in the late evenings when I’ve gone. Be prepared to sip some drinks and chat while you wait for a deep dish pizza (if you order a deep dish pizza- I’m sure others are much faster, but I recommend the deep dish!!!). Everything else from ordering, receiving drinks, to paying is quick and intuitive! Waters were brought to our booth so quickly! Everyone is friendly and great to be around.
Accessibility: ⭐️ Alas, every great place has its difficulties- Fixtures is not great for accessibility. The location means parking is difficult to come by and a short to long walk can be expected. There front entrance has stairs- although I believe there may be a back entrance that is more accessible, though I couldn’t quite see it. The bathroom door is very heavy and the women’s bathroom is in a corner that would make turning a chair difficult- and because the door opens inward, the same issue occurs once inside if one were entering the larger stall. The main aisle is spacious and I wouldn’t have concerns about the booths. The chairs are otherwise all quite tall. The bar itself is also tall. Bathroom sink is automatic. Paper towel dispenser is not. Pretty typical for a small hole in the wall style building!
Price: 💸💸💸 Pretty pricey, but you get a lot for what you pay for! It’s around $20 for a small specialty pizza, but a small is quite substantial! Plenty enough for the two of us, and the quality is spectacular.
Overall, a great experience! I highly recommend this pizza joint! They’re open late ((11pm close)) so they make a great stop after an early Summerfest show or a day in the city!

Read moreFirst experience: Had a terrible waitress with pink hair, who did not bother checking on us much, got our food delivered to the wrong table more than once, got annoyed at us for needing the orders fixed, and did not bother to offer water refills or check to see if my boyfriend would like a different kind of beer than the first one he'd ordered. She pretty much ignored us the rest of the night, and mixed up our pizza order, then asked, "do you need anything else now that you have pizza?" I told her I'd let her know. When we took a slice of the pizza, we discovered that it was the wrong pizza. She was annoyed that we went and let someone know it was not ours (since we couldn't find her), and then proceeded to blame the kitchen staff instead of offering an apology. Girl, it's not relevant who messed up, I'm just letting you know because I'd like the mushroom monstrosity I ordered, and it's better to let you know before another table gets it! She didn't even come get my card from me, I had to go find someone to ring me up at the end. She was just terrible! That being said, the REST of the staff was awesome. The guy seating us was very accommodating to our needs, as I requested a booth (barstools are not comfortable for my short legs). The people who fixed our messed up food were super nice and took good care of us. The bartender who rang me up was really nice and apologized for my terrible waitress when I complained. The honey ginger wings and blue cheese sauce were really good, my picky boyfriend loved them. I enjoyed my meatball appetizer very much. We got deep dish pizza that was delicious, but so filling that I took most of it home. I'd like to try the pastas next time. We will be back, but hopefully will get a better server.
Second experience: Went on a less busy weekday, had no trouble getting a booth. The bartender, Max, took great care of us. The meatballs, wings, broccoli and cheddar soup, and old fashioneds were amazing! Updating review to five stars, they definitely made this...
Read moreCame in for Father's Day dinner with family, it was only 3 of us. We waited for about 10-15 minutes after being seated until someone came to check on us. I noticed a lot of people sitting around with no food or drinks, and looking like they were waiting for awhile. We ordered apps and drinks, the drinks came fairly quickly, but apps took a long time to come out. Then we ordered a salad, wings, a pizza, and a meatball parm sandwich. The salad came out in about 15 minutes. The wings and pizza came out about 40 minutes after we ordered, and at that time, the server finally mentioned that they were understaffed and they were sorry for the long wait. BTW, they didn't bring out my meatball parm sandwich with the other food we ordered. Thanks for waiting almost an hour before telling us that they would be taking forever to get us food because they were understaffed. Then, FINALLY, another 15 minutes later, after our food came out, the server said my meatball parm sandwich was coming, and by that time we had already filled up on our other food, so I told the server to just bring it out in a box, because it had already been way too long and we were ready to go. They did comp my sandwich, which is cool and all, but not getting to eat it freshly cooked while we were at the restaurant was a huge letdown. Overall, my first experience with Fixture was not a good one at all, and I may not be back to give them another shot. The pizza was ok, not great like everyone else says it is, but maybe it was because everything was being rushed because of being understaffed, but again, that's Fixture's fault. The best thing I ate that night was the homemade chips, that's right, chips. Two days after that night, I tried sending messages to the owner, and through their Facebook page, to see what they would say before having to write this review, but haven't heard a thing back from them, so...
