Make sure you check to see what event is going on here before you go. If you don’t fit the bill for which clientele the event is trying to reach, they will essentially kick you out. I guess more like strongly advise you to leave.
This will happen in a very undiplomatic and vitriolic way, where someone you’ve never seen before will ambush you outside of the bathroom and grab your shoulder. Without even introducing themselves lol. I initially didn’t even know it was an employee suggesting I leave. I only realized when she offered to give me my cover back. I guess I appreciated that I got my money back but sheeesh learn how to handle these situations better and with less hostility.
No need to sneer at people who don’t fit the event. This lady also told my friend not to be “dramatic” when he was confused on why we were being asked to leave when I (not her) updated him. She just butted in and said that while I told him it’s an event not for us and they want us to go. We immediately left tho and didn’t give her a hard time at all
I’m sorry I may have been intruding on an event that wasn’t exactly for me but I didn’t realize that was the event for the night. Introducing yourself, letting us know what the event was, then voicing why we might not be a great fit for the night would have made for a lot less of a contentious situation. Very strange experience
EDIT: Hi Kelsey, you specifically referenced the event when you approached me. You also told me that you overheard my brief conversation I had near the bathroom where someone had told me about the event. You said to me that "if it's a problem, then leave." I never at any point made a problem about the event. I only spoke with my friend at the bar, and I'm really not sure what I could have said to him that'd be problematic. Additionally, you did say that you'd have us back but that that...
Read moreI went to a scheduled event at this bar, so the place was admittedly very busy. I bought 4 bombs for my group, and while the bartender was making them, I suddenly saw an old friend I hadn't seen in a very long time across the bar. I gave my card to my boyfriend and asked him to please finish the transaction for me so I could go and say hi. as I was talking to my friend, I hear the bartender angrily YELL and POINT "YOU!!!! didn't you buy drinks?!? you have to sign for them JESUS CHRIST!" very loud and rude in front of everyone. I said bye to my friend and finished the transaction. I wanted to give the bartender the benefit of the doubt, and assumed that my boyfriend had just been talking to my friends and the bartender didn't know he was going to be the one to run the card. However, after asking my bf about it, he said he even added on a beer to the tab and TOLD THE GUY that he was going to be paying in place of me. Look, even if there is indeed a policy that the real actual cardholder MUST be the one to sign.....there was no reason the bartender couldn't have said so nicely. I work a service job as well, and a busy stressful shift or annoying customers who don’t know our policies never gave me the right to scream and embarrass people lol. I used to like cactus club but now idk bc that was some...
Read moreI JUST WANT TO NOTE THERE WAS NO EVENT GOING ON WHEN WE WE WERE THERE. iT WAS NOONE THERE BUT 3 PEOPLE Came in last night with 5 of my friends to celebrate a birthday. We walked in about to just take a shot because our Uber was arriving in 2 mins. As you see the shots were being prepared. He wouldn’t let us sit down because we didn’t have our vaccine cards on us. He told us we had to have it or we can’t fully come in. If everyone must be vaccinated why do you even have on a N95??? This is the first place we’ve been to where you on have to present your vaccination card. I myself was the only one unvaccinated because of health reasons but I had a negative test from 2 days ago that I tried presenting and he said no. Worst...
