The regulars are (for the most part) pleasant. The food has a trademark McDonald’s consistency; I appreciate the staff for often bending over backwards to provide a quality, trademark & branded experience, even if a mistake is made - They are happy to replace food that has been prepared incorrectly. Something you must remember when ordering here is that these people are working for a wage that cannot usually support a family alone; they are often expected to work multiple positions at once, and are switched around as other people enter and exit the store without warning. They oftentimes have so many customers in front of them that they couldn’t tell who has been served already, and customers do not help the situation by standing in front of the register with their arms crossed like they’ve already been approached when they haven’t even ordered yet. Only so much can be blamed on these overworked employees. If you point out your needs without being rude to the staff and work with them to get your needs met, you will have an extremely pleasant visit to this location.
The only two requests I have made regularly are:
Separate the ordering area from the waiting area more distinctly. The flow of traffic from entry to completion of order is completely backwards, and the people who have made orders commonly stand right in the way of elderly and disabled people trying to start orders.
OTHERWISE, Removing the one wall behind the registers, then moving the registers to the opposite side of the front of house would likely fix the employee-to-customer flow of service.
Also, encouraging use of the driveway side door would temporarily fix the flow of traffic’s issue inside the store if moving the registers was not something to be pursued.
I would LOVE to have paper towel brought back to the bathrooms and to be allowed a garbage bin in this space as well. Simply putting a recessed space in the wall or a hanging garbage bin in these restroom spaces would fix this issue and very likely eliminate clutter - the Dyson Airblades do not dry your hands, blow cold air for their first ten seconds of operation, and they encourage customers to not wash their hands - I wipe the water from washing my hands on my pant legs, and it is something I have simply grown to accept over time, though it is not ideal. I understand that McDonald’s saves a minuscule amount of money operating this way, but it lowers the quality of your eating experience dramatically.
Overall, I appreciate this location for providing me quality meals daily and provides jobs to myself and several wonderful people that work harder than most customers will give them credit for.
My complaints are centered mostly around design and corporate choices, not the workers. I appreciate these...
Read moreI ordered a Mc Chicken sandwich and hot fudge sundae today 4/2/18. The lady in a black shirt of African American decent (Manager i believe) was just staring at me as i asked her was her register opened to order. She looked at me as if she didn't know what I am talking about. So i proceeded to order. She not once smiled or even greeted me or even acted as a professional person of the Mc Donalds franchise. She then made my sundae as if i was a toddler. it wasn't even halfway filled, the hot fudge was literally a half a teaspoon. She then saw that I was visibly but calmly upset and still said nothing. I asked the cheerful young girl who was taking orders if she could at least fill it the correct way. She even looked at the sundae as if she knew as well that was not right. A older white gentleman right beside me waiting for his food said "She seriously handed you that sundae like that" I shook my head yes and was even more upset. As the young girl was giving me my sundae the lady with the black shirt handed me my bag with no napkins, a hole in the bag and did not even offer me peanuts for the sundae. She handed me my bag and just walked off... no thank you, no have a nice day or no SMILE WHATSOEVER. Im sorry for the LONG review but i've never been so upset at a franchise in my life. I too worked at a fast food chain and I know for a fact that is not the proper way to act or serve consumers. Even though this Mc Donalds is close to my job, I don't think i will be back. Also letting my co workers know of this awkward and discourteous interaction. Still thinking if I am going to call...
Read moreI ordered using the McDelivery app and had my mom come pick it up. She got there and we registered the order, but the cashier could not find it. The manager had to find it, and fortunately, they did, but it took quite some time because they were really busy. When my food finally did come out (they had to make it) 15 MINUTES LATER, my mom checked the order only to find that they forgot my Szechuan sauce. So (and this is by my mom’s account) my mom asked the lady for the sauce I had ordered. The lady gave my mom attitude and checked the order, and when she grabbed the sauces, she threw them at my mom. When she finally got home, not only was her own food cold, but they had also forgotten my soda. I understand being busy. I work in food service myself, and I sympathize when it comes to being angry at work. However, I also know that there is a VERY clear difference between being angry and acting hostile towards a customer. This lady (whose name I do not know) did not make that distinction when giving my order to my mom, and she ended up leaving in a mild panic. My mom and I had never had a bad experience at this McDonald’s before that I can remember, and like I said, I understand being super busy and feeling mad at that. But anger is no excuse for violence towards a customer. I will rethink using the app and buying from this location...
