So I walked because the drive through line was busy. So when I walk in there is a lady ordering her food and then this young guy and lady state the lobby is not open and I said well then why is she in here ordering. Then they lied to me two times. First young guy said they are going through a shift change, and then the manager lies and say its CDC regulations and then the the two young people try to start to arguing at me to justify their lies. So I take all three of them on. I told them first of all its not CDC regulations and you are all lying. One does your shift change the customers problem and people are waiting in the drive through for 30 min and no order had been taken. And told them if you dont want the lobby open just tell the truth and get the drive through moving. But just don't lie to people. I work at the county and I know the CDC regulations and if that were true then they broke the regulation by having the first three people walk out. A little side note: they are closing Popeyes stores do you think they are going to keep you employed to just stand around and lie and argue at customers and not have chicken and not do your jobs because that is the real reason the line was not moving. No one prepared for the dinner rush and all the people came and then you were stuck. I worked in fast food before: the reason which was the truth and you did not want to own up to it was that you were caught with your pants down probably do to poor management. Get it together Popeyes chic fil A is coming to milwaukee and they know how to make chicken and they know customer service, your product is good but they got it down to a science and I will go to chic fil a over you even though I love Popeyes brand just because they know how to treat a customer and they always have chicken ready. Good luck. Close this place down or get new management but something has to change or your brand is in for rude...
Read moreJust three words: NEVER GO THERE! The worst restaurant I have been. The restaurant is extremely dirty and disgusting!! My daughter and I ordered some food around 2 pm in early September online from this Popeye store in Milwaukee, WI. We arrived at the store to pick up the order about half hour after we ordered online. When we got to the Popeye store, there were only three or four cars in front of us, but we were kept waiting in our car for over one hour, and the order was incompletely fulfilled--they failed to put everything we ordered in the bag, but they charged us the full amount even for the burgers they failed to deliver! We were extremely frustrated by this terrible experience! We called Popeye customer service immediately and were promised a 20-dollar voucher as a compensation for our wasted time, which was really an extremely small amount of compensation. We never realized this was just the start of a long nightmare! Basically over 3 months after this incident, we have received nothing from Popeye, despite five calls to them in the past three months! A week ago, the most dramatic occurred: I asked an agent to connect me with his supervisor, and his supervisor said it would take Popeye 12-15 weeks to send out the voucher because there was a "backlog" in sending out the vouchers. I asked him whether Popeyes had so many complaints that it would have to send tons of vouchers, then the supervisor pretended he could not hear me due to bad phone connection, and hung up the phone, never called me back though Popeye has my phone number! This is just the worst customer service experience I have ever had...
Read moreWhen we arrived at the drive-up, we were told that they were out of beignets. I asked what I was supposed to do and he said, "Cancel the order." But I couldn't find how to cancel and no one there knew how to cancel.
So I asked for a refund for the beignets. They refused to refund the money. Told me again to cancel the order but no one there knew how to cancel and there was no place on the app to cancel that I could find. Asked for the manager and the manager refused to give me her name. She said, "I don't have a name."
Asked for the overall store manager's name and number but they said they didn't know it. She then printed me a receipt with the phone number of the store on it, which also charged me for food that I still hadn't received. I had to insist that they give me the rest of my order since they already charged me. Then they substituted some other item for the Beignets. If they would have offered that right away, I probably would have accepted, although it wasn't ideal. But it wouldn't have been so disparaging.
Why am I able to order items that are not available? I literally ordered 5 minutes before arriving. And if that remains a possibility, isn't there some kind of policy to dictate how that should be handled? This store is not able to handle the situation appropriately, in my opinion.
UPDATE: Popeye's has since refunded the money for the beignets. I think that corporate seems like a pretty class act. I plan to visit another Popeye's location but I will never be back...
