I like to frequent Vegas at the minimum once a year, it's an annual trip my brothers and friends have been doing for the better part of 15 years. We try not to eat at the same place or even stay at the same hotels.
I will confess that, eating at "The Standard Tavern" will now be just as regular as going to Vegas. I found this place by way of trying out a golf course Rio Secco (also amazing), so it took me out towards Durango and we stopped to have a bit to eat after the round.
It has tv's, gaming, but what will keep me coming back is how fun and engaging the staff was, the atmosphere, but most importantly, how great the food was. I don't care if you are a small little place or a big chain, good food is good food, and their food is great.
All food is more than adequately priced for a normal city, let alone Vegas.
Also, something you dont see everyday is the people who have ownership in the place are also getting their hands dirty with the staff....has nothing to do with how good the food is or the pricing.....it just feels good to support a business where everyone seems to care. Taking care of their guest seems second nature.
Too bad they haven't started franchising out, my only regret is, I dont live close enough to frequent.
A very satisfied long distance...

Respectful and more importantly friendly! They didn't have a lot of the whiskey I prefer, however she did offer some other shots that turned out to be something I'll ask for at other places. She was very attentive and always made sure the people I were with had everything we needed. She has such an amazing and welcoming vibe. The decorations and overall style of the bar was so cool and showed where it started from. I'll...
Read moreAn old friend and I decided to meet somewhere for a drink. We went here as it looked small and cozy. All was fine until a crew of obnoxious patrons came in. We were in the back corner, talking, and enjoying our drinks in private. One of the crew came up to us and shook our hands. Thankfully we didn't contract monkeypox or some rare STD. God knows what trashcan these people fell out of. The same person came back later and told us both to leave. The bartender didn't seem to mind. We wondered who's running this place? Another patron apologized to us on the way out. Never...
