I’ve given this specific Toppers location 3 times.
The first time I ordered food online and it was delivered about 30 minutes past the estimated time of arrival. When I called the lady said their online ordering gave the wait/delivery times and that there was nothing they could do about it.
The second time I ordered a large pizza online. When I picked it up, it legit looked liked a medium pizza. I went back and showed this to the lady working and she was a bit snappy and just told me the dough was fresh and it shrinks when it’s fresh. I asked her to put it in a medium pizza box to further make my argument and she stated she couldn’t do that. I left and she gave me a gift certificate to use for next time since I wasn’t gonna wait for them to make me a new pizza.
The third time, the last one of them all I called my ordered in. I was planning on using my gift certificate from last time. Which by the way. Didn’t say anything about excluding any menu items/deals. Gentleman that answered the phone sounded like he was high of something and had no manners over the phone. I was clear with what I wanted and he would respond with “those are the rules” or would slowly and rudely say hello over the phone when I would wait for him to answer any questions I made. I had to change what I was originally going to order since I couldn’t use my gift certificate with a promo. Mind you, the actual gift certificate didn’t state anything about any exclusions. I honestly will be going out of my way to get Toppers pizza from the location on Miller Park. The times I have ordered from there they have been nice and professional about how they handle customers. I hope who ever is part of management takes a second look at the employees working since it seems like not once but 3 times I have had issues, and looking at the other reviews. It seems they have plenty of them to deal...
Read moreI use to eat their food as an outsider but when I got there, I’m choosing not too.
This place as I was working there, probably now as you read, failing, all because of GM Ben. He doesn’t properly train people. Never went over the menu, just threw me on. Never let me try their unique pizza, so I could recommend to costumers. They lack costumers. The GM rushes new hires. I understand stand if a costumer was waiting, but no one was. It was a delivery & no driver. Pizzas for delivery sit there for 30 minutes to an hour, waiting for a driver. Don’t understand the rushing part. They mess up on orders a lot because of the rushing. Giving away food, discounts or refunds. Never made pizza befOre, only allowed me to make crust & sauce the crust once, how can I learn & get better?
The prep lady I saw coughing on the food she was prepping. She smokes cigarettes but never saw washing hands. Pizza makers vaping in pizza making area. GM creating tension in work places, gossiping like a school girl, bad mouthing workers, to each other, saw this my second day. Which creates workers not caring, which leads to sick costumers. I see why they weren’t doing good.
My first day, the place was a mess. Dishes was not done, prep not done, money missing from register etc, but I was the one let go for budget. Never given a true shot. By the way, never was told about pay schedule for toppers.
I don’t blame the company, I blame GM Ben. I would not recommend working here if Ben is. Then environment isn’t friendly like it was shown in training videos. Wasn’t man enough to lay me off in persOn. He tried to do it over phone, got his lame butt to text me, so I have...
Read moreWas very underwhelmed with my experience here. I work in a dispatch center maybe a block down the street, if that. Can't leave when I'm on duty so I ordered dinner for an extended shift. Called in to place the order so I could have a neighborly conversation, and the person on the phone was cold and rushed me through the phone call. I tried to bring up the that we are a neighboring business and possibly get the $5 delivery fee reduced since we're just doors down from them but the person interrupted me and wouldn't even let me bring up that topic. It became very clear to me that the person on the phone was not at the restaurant but was in a call center. They were unfriendly. I ordered the large pepperoni Trio Pizza and was immediately told that they didn't have one of the types of pepperoni. No suggestion for a solution they just wanted to charge me full price with one item missing. I had to suggest maybe adding extra of one of the other types of pepperoni to make up for it to the person on the phone. As unpleasant as the phone conversation was, I was hungry and this was my only option at the time, so I proceeded with the order and ended up paying $26 for a large three topping pizza before tip. That was shocking but I was hoping it would at least be worth the price. It wasn't. It was average at best. Definitely not worth $26. No sense of neighborhood, no sense of customer service they just wanted to rush me through the order on the phone. And the pizza wasn't worth the price I paid. I don't think I'll be placing any...
