Ventura's Taco Restaurant — Restaurant in Milwaukee

Ventura's tacos are definitely in contention for A Tier in Milwaukee and just short of S Tier. Pastor is excellent as is the steak and appreciate avocados that are green and not off color.

The star of Ventura's are their Chips! These are S Tier in Milwaukee but their salsas are probably not going win over the average person. Personally I love their orange salsa... well done! This shit is drinkable and leaves me wanting more.

Don't skip on the Tacos

Sadly, they changed their chips. New chips are now standard chips found everywhere else. The might we were there last, June 19, the chip were cold and seemed stale. The old chips were always hot, slightly greasy and just reality good corn taste.

Amazing food, reasonable prices, and incredibly fast service. I love their Mexican style tacos, tamales and chips/salsa are delicious. My friend from Mexico recommended we eat here because the tamales remind him of his moms! The jalapeño cucumber margarita & flan are absolutely outstanding. Casual atmosphere with really high quality food is a hard combo to find.

I gave 4 stars because of overall vibe. I wish two things for this place: that their tv wasn’t SO huge as it adds chaos/distraction to a very small space…. And, I wish it didn’t smell quite so much like cleaning products upon arrival. The food is well worth dealing these two smaller points, and I’ll definitely be back again. I went here on Cinco de Mayo; one of the busiest days of the year for Mexican restaurants. On a holiday that isnt even meant to be celebrated the way Americans do. The food was fantastic. Authentic and fresh. Despite having to wait and a lack of organization, I enjoyed my time here. What displeased me the most was the other customers. The lack of humility and audacity of some of the other diners was disgusting. Two women ran out with their food without paying while others complained and complained.
