Edit 10/10/23 - kind of disappointed to make this update. I have been back a couple of times. This most recent visit I got a Carne Asada burrito and it was flavorless. No salt, no seasoning. Nothing. The meat wasn’t even marinated. What’s worse is it all tasted stale. Like it had been made with expired ingredients or microwaved a few too many times. You know when you eat an expired saltine cracker and it’s bitter? That’s what it tasted like. Jamaica was great as always. Just wish the burrito wasn’t so disappointing. This isn’t the normal quality so I don’t know if it’s just a bad day or what. I don’t order from here very often, but I don’t think I’ll be back after this. I understand, it’s a small business. You have to charge what you charge, I’m not complaining about the price, I’m happy to pay it. I just don’t make enough to throw away an entire $12 burrito.-
Listen. I need to tell you the absolute love affair I just had with the steak fajita burrito. I was born and raised in Arizona, and half my family is Mexican. When I tell you this tasted like home, I’m not kidding. First of all, walking into the restaurant was the most comforting experience. It smelled absolutely delightful and the atmosphere overall is something I have missed since moving to Oregon. Yes, there was quite a bit of rice in my burrito. HOWEVER, as a kid I grew up broke and my parents needed to make a meal stretch. So, I don’t view it as a bad thing. Mexican rice was a necessary staple that I grew up eating and I love very dearly. The pinto beans are definitely not Rosarita’s (also a good thing if not the best thing!) and the veggies were perfect. Back in AZ it’s hard for me to eat some of the Mexican food there because I cannot have a lot of spicy heat for health reasons and my fresh tomato allergy often goes ignored. (Believe me, I hate it too. Pico is a perfect food and I wish I could eat it) I could eat this burrito and I loved every bit of it. The Jamaica was made to such perfection I cried literal tears of joy. Overall the meal was fantastic and after a day of packing and moving across town, this is just what I needed to settle in to my new home. It’s safe to say this has become my new go to for comfort food. Thank...

Cha Cha Cha in Milwaukie has been near and dear to me for 15 years now. The other night after picking up dinner for my wife and I, it hit me how much this special place means to me. This wonderful dine in or takeout spot has everything you want in a neighborhood Mexican restaurant. They work very hard, making everything from scratch and pouring a lot of heart and a lot of love into every burrito, taco salad, taco, batch of salsa......and whole lot of love goes into everything. After all these years honestly I just feel like family when I come in.
Getting married a few years ago, we made a decision at the start of the pandemic to support our local restaurants as much as possible. My wife loves Cha Cha Cha and it has been a weekly dinner for us ever since. Being vegetarian myself, they have numerous options for veggie burritos and other dishes that can be made without meat. The taco salad is one of my favorites!
If you have a chance, stop into Cha Cha Cha and try them out. With an excellent Happy Hour, an extensive menu, and a warm friendly welcome, I wish for you each of you that visit the same special feeling I have when I walk through the door. They're employees work hard to give us in Milwaukie something very special to look forward to; Healthy comfort food and warm friendly owners and employees! Thank you so much to everyone at Cha Cha Cha.......we appreciate...
Read moreMy dear friend just dropped off some Sopes with steak and black beans, fresh crumbly Mexican queso, arroz y frijoles refritos. Que sabroso! So delicious and fresh, always well- prepared and using quality ingredients. We adore the owner and staff there for all they do and have done over the years for our community here in Milwaukie, but also have enjoyed the Friday night music and dancing in past.
The flavors are impeccable; delightful comfort food. Their drinks are refreshing, the atmosphere and staff are warm and inviting. It is a reputable, quality establishment here in Milwaukie, with easy access to buses, trains, easy parking or easily accessible by bike or foot.
One feels as though he/she/they might be dining in someone's salon or cocina, and yet it also has a respectable ambience which makes it a lovely romantic spot for a couple in a cozy corner or outdoor dining.
I've been told it has been a first date spot for several couples I have known. The beauty of it is that one could walk around downtown Milwaukie, eat at Cha Cha Cha's inside or outside, see a movie a few blocks away, and sit by riverfront before or afterwards. Lastly! I like that Cha Cha Cha does not use styrofoam or plastic take out containers, & that they have so many vegetarian options, many organic and locally sourced...
