I have been going here since I was in college, I used to live at Axletree apartments on the top floor and this place was only 3-4 minutes away so I used to always get coffee or tea in the mornings with a light snack like Avocado Toast or an egg sandwich and come back at night have have a few drinks with friends and buy up the pastries and scones when they were on sale at the end of the night. The old workers have always treated me very good here. It is under new ownership now and has a nice sports vibe to it. The place itself is very clean and there is lots of seating and even a little section with a couch and table you can sit and have a drink at as well as a fridge with non alcoholic drinks you can buy. There is now a small sized pool table in the back that cost .50 cents per game which I always go to with friends every single time I am there. There are several mounted big screen TVās mounted for football/basketball and a variety of other things. There are a few arcade style game machines in the back and a little station you can put money in to play a unique song you may like. Slot machine section in the back as well if that is your type of thing. They have good and affordable food if you wanted to stop by for lunch and a good and affordable little menu for āBar Bitesā. They also always replace new chalk for the pool cues. A few of the cues are broken/snapped or warn down which I am sure they will replace sooner or later but that isnāt a huge issue. On certain nights they have small game nights or live music which is pretty neat because they always have catchy music. They have a few benches outside and a dedicated smoking section with a ok a place to ash and throw your cigarette butts away. They have unique events on special occasions which gets the community involved and people have even hosted birthdays/retirement parties here from what Iāve seen. Itās a very laid back bar and Iāve met a handful of amazing people from the community here.
The bartenders always make an effort to remember names and peoples preferred drink. Every time I am there they know I am eyeing that pool table to see if itās open which is kind of funny since thatās what Iām always there for. Brandy, Lauren and Miguel are all hard working and wonderful people as well as...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur first time visiting The Office and from the reviews we were expecting a great time. But it must have been an off night. We walked in and found our table and then sat there, and sat there, never being acknowledged. My daughter-in-law and I cleaned off the table why my son went looking for menus for us. It had been a long day and we were hungry. After another 15 minutes where we were deciding what to eat they finally went to the bar to place an order. At that point we had yet to be even spoken to which gives you a very cold feeling over the customer service. When we received our margaritas in the little doubles glass for $9 a piece, we knew we had to be worried. The food was decent but definitely lacking in seasoning and freshness. The fried shrimp had a taste of sitting around for a week, which was later proven true when my husband's stomach got terribly upset after we got home. All in all not a great experience but so much room for potential. Decent menu, good drinks if not expensive, and the little bit of customer service we experienced was pretty decent. I'm hoping it was just an off night for them as the other reviews all sound great. We might not have been their demographic but we were still...
