Hamburger Happiness — Restaurant in Minden

So first I wanna say, I was very excited to try this place, being I just moved to minden and there are signs for it at every turn, the photos and reviews online seemed nice, so, I thought I’d give it a go… wrong decision. the lady at the front was nice enough, and our food came quickly etc. but the problem I have is- as soon as we sat down, I had to wipe our table because they were all filthy. The walls around us were absolutely disgusting, the place itself just dirty up and down. The ice for drinks comes from a brought in cooler and was melting, and the drinks were very syrupy. The food was disgusting and we hardly ate it, but within an hr both me and my partner did not feel well from it. The place is small, but the old men in there want to just yell and holler belligerent things, instead of respecting everyone else around them trying to eat and converse at their own tables, and staff find it okay. As I was driving down the freeway oh, I see this sign Hamburger Happiness. I'm already hungry because I was on the phone with my cousin and he was really making me hungry. He also has a restaurant but I'm driving to Minden Louisiana. So I can't get any from him. I digress so I go to this restaurant via Google Map and I walk in and it's already a bunch of people sitting there. The nice man greets me that was great. Let's just start with that and then everyone else spoke. It was such a warm environment , you just knew the food was going to be good. I ordered a bacon ham and cheese omelette ; because one of the nice men that was also a customer recommended it. The food was so delicious, hot and fresh. I'm really happy I found that place. Wow! We were travelling Dec. 26th and hopeful to eat at a local chicken place in Minden. However, they along with most other places were close. We were nearly resolved to the fact we would be eating McD's when we saw the sign, "Hamburger Happiness". So glad we did. It was really nice to experience a small town fixture. I had a burger prepared to order and a fountain drink. They fix the 1st drink behind the counter then tell you to help yourself to the refills.
