Hi guys! im an employee at el santito and we hear your concerns! Id just like to explain that El santito is not a classic tex mex mexican restaurant!! We are a South American/Mexican cuisine spot! I understand its new but Habacu had good intentions with bringing this to minden! We recently added a lunch menu with affordable and more favored tex mex dishes for those who prefer that. We understand that the proportions of food may not be want you guys would like but everything that comes on the plate is the regular amount of intake your body is supposed to have! We hardly ever get any complaints in person about what we're reading in the reviews and it would be greatly appreciated if you guys expressed your concerns to us personally so we could help! Our prices are the prices we need to have for the food to continue to be good, if our prices go down so does the food quality. sometimes mistakes happen in the kitchen where the rice might be "crunchy" but these are normal accidents that can happen anywhere. Habacu wanted to bring bottled drinks because its way better than fountain, if fountain drink machines arent cleaned properly it can get sticky and gross, or there could be a risk of the bag being close to gone and your drinks are gross, so we have bottles to avoid that! Also if our chairs are uncomfortable we have no problem with moving someone to a booth! Everyone is welcome in El Santito and we do our best to hear you guys out! We also recently added classic chips and red salsa for you guys! If anyone has anymore questions, comments, or concerns, dont be afraid to ask! we're always open to hearing you...
Read moreThis place was terribly over priced for less than par tex-mex dishes. Me and the other half went on a whim for the first time. Absolutely nothing on their main menu less than 20. Most of every single item was 30 or more.
They do not have fountain drinks. Only bottles. 5 dollars a pop. We weren’t even served bottles only cans. Were we charged less since we got cans? Nope. We decided to share something because we were not that hungry to begin with. Their steak quesadilla on the “side menu”. If you have been to any tex mex restaurant, you know how big a quesadilla tortilla is. Attached photo is what we were served. Granted this was supposed to come with vegetables of some sort that we opted out of. This quesadilla was around 10 dollars with tax, which we did not pay since we sent this back. We were served basically a normal size street taco. Needless to say, not worth it. The other place up the road will continue to...
Read moreWent for the 1st time last week. I had the skirt steak supremo and it was very flavorful, but a little tough, and the portion a little small for the price. I ordered chips and queso and it was amazing! Their queso was so good, with feta cheese sprinkled on top and a nice spice to it. The other person ordered I think the chicken salad and it was different because it was a whole head of lettuce hollowed out with the chicken and sauce inside but they said the sauce which I think is house sauce was "phenomenal". I give it a 4...because my few critiques would be they need chips and salsa, they need more traditional plain Mexican dishes, and the portions for the price, and oh most definitely need to have fountain drinks instead of bottled or...
