I got the chocolate glaze (it was ok), nutella filled (good but way too sweet for my liking), vanilla cream filled (good), lavender cake donut (it was too mushy, like you can taste the oil in it..wouldn't recommend this one.) If you want a big donut this is the place to go. NOTE: The Lavender cake donut and the sprinkles donut is small. This was my first time there. I saw a post on Instagram, thought I would check it out. The customer service there was not the best. The lady seemed like she didn't want to give me service. I walked in and she was like I can take your order outside... with a rude look. Like lady chill, this is my first time here and there is NO sign OUTSIDE saying please stay out here and someone will be out to take your order (a big sign saying that would be nice, especially for first timers) Will I go back? Absolutely NOT! GLAM DOLL DONUTS taste way better and they have way better customer service.

Lilly Lilly Lilly. Such a gem. My sisters were frequent flyers at Bogart’s pre and during the pandemic (context, not a donut person) but I on the other hand wasn’t. Today, I was craving donuts (which is rare) and decided to order online from Bogart’s but sadly some of the donuts we wanted were sold out. I called in and Lilly picked up. She was polite and helpful. She allowed me to still place an order (which I totally screwed up lol) online. When I went in to grab my to go order, I was pleasantly greeted by her. She kindly explained to me how the variety pack works (which donuts it comprised of) for future reference. All in all, the donuts were a hit but it was Lilly’s exceptional customer service that made my experience. Lilly— I hope your manager sees this! Thank you! :)

I'm from the Portland OR area where donuts shops are plenty. I've had a lot of donuts. i LOVE donuts.. but these donuts were only okay tasting. I would have given a 3 star rating, but the middle of my vanilla bean pastry still had raw dough. Tasted aweful but the filling was great. My kid got the sprinkle donut, which she absolutely loves and said it was "meh." The donut holes were again, decent but not really "good." After not seeing a donut shop along our entire trip outside of Oregon, i was really excited to find a city that has some. However, i was quite disappointed with my experience today. My buddy told me i should have gone to glam doll. So I'll try there next.

I was debating posting a review, but after careful consideration I felt it was necessary based on the below experience... When my girlfriend and I arrived at Bogart's Doughnuts on Sunday morning 8:30AM there was a considerable cluster of people awaiting to order doughnuts. No one knew what to do or how to order. As we stood in the cluster we decided to place our order online as we just figured that is how we would get our order in and due to COVID-19 this was the procedure? After placing an order for 4 doughnuts we received confirmation that our order was received. Shortly after a manager came outside and started to take orders from those whom were out front. My gf and I patiently and respectfully waited until all others who arrived before us placed their orders. Once it was our turn the manager asked if we wanted to place an order and I mentioned we placed one online via their website. He went inside to check and came out and told us the order was placed and come back in an hour as orders online are staged out. This was unknown to us or anyone else who placed online orders. In a VERY condescending and disrespectful tone gave us a preamble about how ordering online is for predetermined pickups and we should not be there and only come back when our order is ready. Prior to the managers dissertation, I will note I had only told him my name and that we ordered online. He said we will make an exception and have your doughnuts ready in 5 min... My gf and I decided to wait it out for that 5 minutes ... After serving all customers that arrived after we did and no one was left present out front of their store (15 min later) we watched as they put our 4 premade doughnuts in a bag and dropped them on the table outside for us to take. Without looking at us... the Bogart's Team Member said "Here these are yours" and dropped the bag on the table in front of us and quickly turned her back and walked inside. In summary, we felt unappreciated, disrespected, belittled, and overwhelmed on a quiet Sunday morning when all we wanted to do was support a small business and eat a...

Is donut-making an art? Doubtless it is a craft that occasionally yields results of true achievement and beauty. I personally know several donut-makers who think of their donuts as tiny, ephemeral works of art, but it is important to note that they also say the apprenticeship takes a lifetime. Only after devoting themselves to their craft for 20 years did they begin to produce truly fine donuts.

At some undisclosed moment not so long ago, a man with an engorged wallet tasted one of those transcendent donuts and thought to himself, "I could do this." He found the right location, hired the right people, and opened the right shop. Consumers went wild. "Who would think to use a brûlée torch on a glazed raised?" "Do I detect lavender in the filling?" "These are decadent! I must eat broccoli in penance." He's still in the business, and he's doing quite well. A local paper used the word "artist" in a review, and I asked how he felt about that. For just a moment, his face permitted a glimpse of the truth in what he was about to say, but then he smiled proudly and said, "There are no shortcuts."

There are no shortcuts. Everything about Bogart's—the space, the donuts, and the staff—strikes me as far too concerned with being winsome. But I will keep eating their donuts because the one thing I do sense as real and true about Bogart's is their commitment. I sincerely look forward to eating there 20 years from now. If they stick with it, the Twin Cities may go down in history as home to one of the true...

I've gone to Bogart's a few times and have to say that of the limited selection, I enjoy the brown butter doughnut the most. For the price, not amazed by the products overall. I think the brown butter doughnut is their winner and probably keeps many coming back. That being said, I try to patronize local biz when I can, but I had an experience there a few months back that made a bad impression. It was an early morning and I was in the area so I decided to stock up on some doughnuts. There were several bags on a table outside and no one around. I got a young lady's attention and she came out and asked if I needed something. I told her what I wanted and she said she couldn't serve me for ten more minutes. I asked about the bags I saw on th he table and she said they were preorders for pick up. I explained that I worked nights and was on my way home, AND, that there was no one else there to wait on. She again said she wouldn't help me, but that I was more than free to wait. (Did ya ever see the airport scene from Meet The Parents? ) I expressed that I wasn't and left. In the time that I made my request and that it took her to refuse me service, I could've gotten my doughnuts and left. Not very accommodating over ten minutes and no other customers. It's only $10 or...
