Based on the reviews of this "salon" and recommendations from friends in the area, I came to the beauty lounge for a root touch up for my highlights and a want to go a little lighter on my base color. I'd had a bad experience with my previous stylist in LA :( Right away I got a bad vibe from the stylist, Jay. Instead of FOILING my hair with the usual weave technique, she painted straight bleach all over my roots and scalp, claiming that this would be the "best way" to tackle my wants. I trusted she knew what she was doing, but I was wrong. Lo and behold she leaves the bleach on too long and I start feeling massive pain and stinging. She washes the bleach and my hair pulled all different colors (obviously) of copper and bronze, it was HORRIFIC. Instead of tone my hair or color it or SOMETHING she looks at the clock, and right away I think " what?? she's going to let me leave like this?!" She gives me some bs about "color correction" and coming in another time to fix the issue, after she consults with a professional salon (?!). I was livid. I went to a REAL professional salon the next day and find out her "technique" fried my hair, agitated my scalp, and was done out of SHEER LAZINESS and no knowledge of hair. Best part? We used Beauty Lounge for my wedding at the beginning of May and they are PHENOMENAL! We had 9 women total that got both hair and make up services for the wedding and the team absolutely killed it!

For starters - my Bridal hair was styled by Bryanna and it was perfect! She perfectly captured what I wanted and it lasted all night long! I could not have asked for better!

My makeup was done by Melissa! We did both airbrush as well adding lashes and the way she did my makeup made me feel so beautiful! She achieved a flawless look but more importantly, I still looked like myself (just slightly elevated) which was exactly what I was looking for! As I still looked perfect at 2am!

As for my bridesmaids and my mother, Bryanna and Melissa, as well as Stephanie and Natalie coordinated everything perfectly to get everyone ready on time and more importantly every single person so was happy with how it all turned out! We had a number of different hair textures as skin tones, and that team flawlessly executed the hair and make up for us all!

I can not speak highly enough of Melissa and her team! They are incredible people along with running an incredible business and I will 100/100 times tell people that they need to work with Beauty Lounge!

I am so bummed to have to leave this review. I had my hair colored by Melissa on Monday 6/17. I had a pleasant experience chatting with her, exchanging stories about our kids, she was very receptive and helpful with what I wanted my hair to look like. The vibe of the salon was easy going and relaxed. Overall the process took about two hours which is expected. When I got home however I noticed my edges were not touched with color and still grey. Upon further inspection there is more noticeable clusters of hair throughout that was not touched by color. Keeping in mind how much I otherwise enjoyed my experience, I sent her an email the same afternoon asking what we could do to remedy the situation. I sent another follow up email this morning and unfortunately have yet to receive a reply. When I attempt to call there is only an option to leave a message. I also submitted a note via their website "contact us" section in hopes they would respond to that. But no one has reached out. I'm a hard working single mother and spending $145+ for a subpar hair job is really frustrating and almost brings me to tears.
