If zero stars was an option I would give them zero stars. THIS business keeps getting worse by the year. My first interaction with this company took place 8 years ago, I called the office to get a field salesman to my bar for the first time after wondering where they are for years! A guy stopped I showed him my beer my liqour and offered him all my liqour sales if he would just come do inventory and order the stuff, he never came back ever. I called after another year of doing their job for them they sent a different guy, he showed up for about a year then he smartly quit a few years ago. I called again a guy showed up once never came back... I called the "boss" after he had me placed on a non payment list for the 2nd time and yes my check was lost on his desk. They dropped off liqour once without a credit account set up so I wasn't aware of a bill the second time since we do c.o.d. instead of him helping me he said too bad and hung up on me. It's a shame there's laws that keep these clown open. In an actuall compition they would've been closed years ago.... Im stuck with them so i dk as little business as I possibly...
Read morecame early and stayed behind the building by railroad track. Overnight parking there. at night there is no cars but will in the morning. Its wine and spirit building. check in starts at 7 am. I walked around the building at 6am, as google said they are open. but turned away and came back at 7am. then will give you clip board and put it back of the trailer as you dock. got lucky as they took me early, my dispatcher said 8am appt. but receiving said 10:00 we were the first waves of trucks as soon the staging lines were packed also with packaging delivery truck. which they use opposite side building dock. It gets crazy but with each other's help we managed. one driver was nice enough to dock his truck in 45deg angle at cross packaging dock so we could move out with no problems. they will give clip boards to all the trucks coming in as they park and wait. once you get a door they are usually quick between 1 -2 hours unloading time. no restroom I know of, might have port-a john but not sure. I wouldn't take the load if it wasn't for long haul from PA. so tight and some workers park the cars at packing building front of the docks....
Read moreAs someone on the retail end of things, who is required to work with Breakthru Beer due to their control over almost every major domestic and import brand (Coors, Corona, Modelo, as well as an extremely large portion of national craft brands), it has been an unpleasant experience from the beginning.
Their sales team treats smaller accounts as if we don’t matter - because someone like Total Wine is ordering pallets where we’re ordering cases. Dollar-wise, that makes sense but from a customer service standpoint, it’s asinine.
With their warehouse/operations issues, which their sales managers blame on the workers rather than a dysfunctional ops system, small stores are faced with no idea when to expect their trucks. Keep in mind - the bulk of beer deliveries come from this company because they have a de facto monopoly on most major brands that any self respecting liquor store would carry.
Attempts to discuss solutions were met only with excuses. Breakthru Beer is a nightmare to work with. It’s too bad because their wine and spirits side has always been very friendly and timely with their deliveries...
