Coastal Seafoods — Restaurant in Minneapolis

I have been going to Coastal Seafoods since I taught myself to cook Seafood (starting with fish of course) on the grill! I gotta say that for YEARS it was that secret weapon anytime a buddy wanted to challenge me to a cook-off, a grill-down, or a Seafood challenge lol and a MIGHTY secret weapon it was! Your talking to an undefeated Seafood on the Grill CHAMPION! I took 1st place every single time 3 times a year for 6 years thanks to COASTAL SEAFOODS and their unmatched FRESHNESS. So if you wanna be the Chef that no one else can beat when it comes to Seafood & Fish, now you know the secret! So I just want to say "thank you" for ALWAYS HAVING THE BEST, the FRESHEST, the RAREST, and of course the TASTIEST, meats & crustaceans from the Sea! Now that you know where it is, all you gotta do the next time you ever just want to do something amazingly TANTALIZING for your tastebuds, (well lets not forget your friends and/or your family, right?!) these guys will surely make that task an easy one! I grew up having seafood as a special delicacy and growing up on the west coast, I've tried my fair share of fresh seafood. It's everywhere and has a distinct flavor that is unforgettable.

Coming to Coastal Seafoods was like coming home again. As soon as I entered the smell that wafted in was incredible. I could tell JUST by the smell that everything they sold was fresh and I bet when cooked it would be absolutely delicious. It looked expensive but very worth it. I was tempted to get some raw seafood to take home but I had my eyes on another prize: the cafe.

I've heard raving reviews of their cafe and so my husband and I got a lobster roll each. And they were gigantic! Totally worth the price. The bun itself was seasoned and had a flavor explosion. The lobster was towering on top and every bite was juicy. It was so good I could cry - and was actually kind of sad when I finished eating it. This is one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had.

Thank you for letting me experience being back on the west coast again. I loved this place and can't wait to come again.

Side note, their pandemic response is phenomenal. They limited the number of customers inside and even had temperature checks for every customer prior to entering. A++ from this...

Wow, wow, WOW! My husband and I made our way to Coastal Seafoods after seeing the recent Instagram post of their fried oysters and fried oyster sandwich special. This was the first time eating at the cafe inside, so we went for broke and ordered the burger and the lobster mac as well. I made a huge mistake not taking any pictures, but suffice it to say, this was some of the best food we've eaten -- and we have eaten a lot of great food throughout the Twin Cities. After one bite of the fried oyster sandwich, my husband claimed it was the best thing he's ever eaten. Not only were the oysters huge, but the breading was perfectly seasoned and exceptionally crunchy. The burger was also among the best we've had. The double Wagyu patties were flavorful and so juicy the brioche bun nearly couldn't contain all the goodness. We have seriously been sleeping on Coastal Seafoods as a place to dine, and we will do so more frequently (especially if it means we can make a return visit to pick up more hamachi...
