Beware of the morally bankrupt owner and their gang of Ethiopia kids at BOLE Express, a bunch of culinary amateurs with a knack for robbery instead of honest hard work. Behind the fancy restaurant name lies a facade – they lack the basic skills to cook a decent meal. Instead, they excel at thievery, and that's precisely what they deliver – a stolen experience from this bankrupt scammer's den.
Prepare to witness these shameless scammers drain your pockets, leaving you not just with the repulsion of subpar food but also sickened by their audacious exploitation. BOLE Express is a cesspool for those naive enough to seek an authentic dining experience, a testament to a generation more adept at theft than mastering the art of cuisine.
I used to frequent the neighboring Shega Food for my injera lunch until I mistakenly stumbled upon BOLE Express. Anticipating an authentic experience, I was horrified by the appalling food quality – nothing short of garbage. The prices, an outrageous 10 times higher than the local norm, rubbed salt into the wound.
They seem to care little about on-site cooking, opting instead for hasty microwaving of poorly prepared dishes. The taste is a culinary nightmare, akin to consuming refuse. Unsurprisingly, their customer service mirrors their intention to exploit customers shamelessly – a blatant money grab.
A $50 bill for a meal for two was met with utter disgust, prompting us to abandon it and return to Shega Food next door. There, we ordered the same items for $28, reveling in the stark contrast of better quality and freshly prepared real food. I vehemently dissuade anyone from endorsing BOLE Express – a fraudulent establishment prioritizing greed over culinary competence. Save your money for a genuine dining experience at a reputable establishment, not this den of...
Read moreWe held a large party at Bole Express in July, 2023 - (20 people) and another October 14, 2023 - (32 people). Many of our guests had never had Ethiopian food before, and they LOVED it. The flavors are incredible, and meats cooked to tender perfection. For guests trying Ethiopian foods for the first time, they fell in love with the incredible flavors, and many already plan to come back. Bole was very happy to accommodate people's spice levels from very mild to very spicy. The owner and his wife are extremely attentive and gracious, as is the staff - you truly feel like a guest in someone's home. Bole is our favorite Ethiopian restaurant in the Twin Cities for its delicious food and gracious, welcoming staff. We will be returning...
Read moreI had a great experience here!
I like how you can order a variety of portion sizes. There is a good variety of meet and vegetable options. The menu was very well organized and easy to understand. I decided to order a “light size” of the lamb stew, which comes with 3 rolls of injera and salad. I also ordered beef sambusas. The light order of lamb stew was a great deal for $9! Not only did it fill me up, it was so tender! I have never had lamb so tender. The sambusas were crispy and fresh tasting. The dipping sauce tasted homemade too. Looking forward to trying more on the menu.
Also, the owners and staff were very friendly. They made sure we were comfortable and knew how to eat the...
