UPDATE: The owner, David reached out to my coworker (who booked the event) and made things right for our group. He also updated the website to accurately reflect that they only have 1 court in the taproom so this confusion doesn't happen to another group. Thank you, David!
I visited Minneapolis Cider Company for a work event and we were extremely disappointed in their pickleball courts, online booking information, and customer service.
The bad: The taproom courts photo on their website does not look like that in real life. It’s so misleading! They only have 1 court in the taproom and 2 courts in the back so proceed with CAUTION when booking their taproom court — it’s only ONE.
Based on the information on their website, we thought we were booking 2 courts in the taproom, so we reserved 8 pickleball paddles because their website says, “Reserve a pickleball court for up to 8 people per court.” Upon arriving, they direct us to the taproom court which only has one court. Common sense tells me that if you only have 1 court, why would a group need 8 paddles when only 4 can play at a time? We asked for a refund for the 4 paddles due to inconsistent and misleading information on their website and the employee was short, unhelpful, and said that the booking system is different than the taproom so there’s nothing she can do. A complimentary drink or a $12 credit to our bar bill would have been the correct thing to do but Minneapolis Cider Company did nothing. Our group of 10 ordered drinks and food so it’s not like we weren’t spending more money with them. It was downright disappointing.
The good: The cider and charcuterie was tasty, and the bathroom was clean.

Read moreI've visited Minneapolis Cider Company a few times for an afternoon cider with friends, but I most recently reached out to their team to inquire about hosting my birthday party. I didn't need much, but simply wanted to give them a heads up that there might be a larger group taking up space playing board games on a Saturday afternoon. They were responsive, helpful, and did a great job setting aside some tables for my friends and I! They also sent what looked like a great catering list but due to my own dietary preferences, I just brought in some snacks and cupcakes and encouraged my friends to order brunch from the taproom if they wanted more. My friends loved the space, and the variety of beverage options were well-received considering not everyone is as into cider as I am. I would happily gather a group here again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a low-key but...
Read moreThis place is at the top of my list of favorite cider joints. The cider is really good The cider cocktails are even better They have a food truck. If the food truck isn't onsite, they've partnered with Brasa The staff are really friendly
I had the raspberry cider which was my favorite, followed by the mango habanero (which wasn't spicy to me). I also tried the Raspberry Fields Forever, which was my favorite cocktail. I tried the Royale Cobbler. It was good but I prefer sweeter.
The space is large with a lot of seating, including comfy couches. They have a ping pong table. They also have as throwing equipment. We asked about it and apparently they dint allow ax throwing due to liability. They do bring it out for...
